I just learned my child might be eligible for SSD benefits through the child's father. Does anyone know if there is a formula for computing the child's benefit amount based on the qualifying parent's benefit? How is the child's benefit amount computed?

2. Student who want solutions for specific questions can register and pay US$ 9.99 for a month's help. In return they can either post their questions by email and get reply OR talk with a tutor live, one to one over the CHAT, 2 hours in morning and 2 hours in evening.

Being a student OR parent of student, do you think that

I am the oldest (20)and have a younger brother(17) and for a long time my parents have shown blatant favoratism towards my brother. this isn't your typical case where someone thinks they are yelled at more and the other one gets more attention. my brother is a little tyrant and they still treat him better than me. I know that they like me better as a person because my brother is a horrible person and they both know he is because that's how they raised him because they always let him have is way, i didn't turn out that way because because i have lived walking on eggshells trying not to get screamed at for anything i do. they have agreed that he is a little jerk but still treat him better than me, for a lng time they'd deny it but finally my mom admitted it and said he gets treated better because he likes to watch sports with my dad and go to movies and go fishing with him and i don't.

My father went to UK 14 years before, time to time,he has got all the family members (brother and mom)with him settled in UK. My sis is with me but her appeal has been accepted and she has a hope to join the family in UK.I am the eldest son.For family settlement there is no way for me to join my family. I am losing hope.I've waited for 10 years. Now I am begining to lose hope. I started smoking, first occassionally and now regular. I am tired of waiting. There is NO Way visible for me. I am single, cannot get married cause of financial problems. I am afraid of going further with bad habbits. I know it is really "bad" but I really find nothing else to unleash my anger on. I've NO HOPE that I would ever make it with my family.I don't want to lose myself but the situations are really tearing me apart!!!
Can anyone of u pals help me overcome this mental and physical torture? I really would be highly obliged.

What do you think of a father taking a bath with his daughter or a mother taking a bath with son. Should it be an equal right. alot of individuals think fathers who take baths with daughters are not right, but mothers taking bath with sons are okay. Whats your opinion and why?
A women on A SITCOM on the TLC network says she see nothing wrong with her husband taking baths with their young daughter but other people disagreed with that situation.

I was just wondering how any of you feel as an adopted child? Are you happy and fully content about it? Do you still feel the same connection with yoru family? Or do you feel completely abandoned by your biological parents?
P.S. I don't mean to be offensive at all about this topic- I was just curious. So my apologies if you are! =) Thanks for your input.

I have a problem with the system in today's society. However, I was raised from the old school hard knock ways of life by some very wise folks that believed in morals, respect, honesty, dignity, and most of pride. These children today have no respect for adults or their fellow peers. That's why the world has so much crime, because the system says you can't spank your children, a spanking never hurt no child of mine, nor my parents 9 plus children. I look at these kids know days and just wish one of them was mine, because believe you me I would be locked up if one of mine tried some of the things that I see my friends kids doing. I have 2 grown children and 2 grand boys and right at this day you could not pay them to play with me out of order, less known disrespect me. They know for a fact that I would get ghetto fabalous on them and fold them up like a card board box in a grip of a minute

I'm 41, and my wife plan on moving out of state for the change of scenery, more reasonable housing costs, and new career opportunities. I have been living basically in the same general area of southern California since birth, and I'm ready for something new! But, there is a part of me that feels guilty about moving away from my parents. The are in their mid-70s, but in good health. I feel like I should have moved away a long time ago, and now the window of opportunity is closing because they are getting older. Any advice?

I'm 19 and because I prefer to stay home and read rather than go out and party my parents are constantly trying to convince me that something's wrong with me.They're so incredibly controlling to the point where they won't let me make my own decisions regarding what to major in college. How do I get them to back off and respect the fact that at 19 I have the right to make my own decisions?

For whatever reason why I don't know I was in a good mood today & decided that since it's the New Year I wanted to start fresh so I called my former husband & his new wife & told them that I was very sorry for all the bitchy things that I'd ever done to them & I'd like to start over for my daughters sake. It felt great. They were shocked & must have thought I'd lost my mind because I'm usually very vengeful. Has anyone else done that & if so did it feel like a ton of weight was lifted off your shoulders like it did with me?
