Nothing I do EVER measures up to my family's expectations!Everything I have achieved has always been overseen by my family. Anything I have ever done equals to nothing. They don't see it. Since they don't see it, I don't want to do it. Whenever I went after my goals or dreams, I was laughed at.. So I stopped. My family thinks buying and paying for stuff is "supporting" their daughter. I want moral support. I never get it. I never did...

I am so lonely. There is no one to keep me motivated, no one to support me or help me with anything. WheneverI have a dream, I don't have someone there to believe in me. I am 17. Filling out college applications are a dread. Especially FAFSA. My family is always yelling and they don't want to help me fill out the applications. They think I should do everything on my own. If I go to them for advice, they say "You are old enough. If you want to do something, YOU have to do it."

Please help...

My brother was in a relationship with a girl in high school. Soonafter my brother graduated he went a little crazy, he had several psychotic episodes that lasted months. We don't know what the 'cause was and the doctors couldn't find a clear diagnosis for his disorder. During this his ordeal his girlfriend came to me and told me that there was a possibility that she could be pregnant. His girlfriend told my mother that she wasn't sure who the dad was, while her sister told me that the only reason she was saying that was because she didn't want her daughter to be raised by a crazy father. Fortunately my brother got better. Moreover, the baby's mom filed for child support and because my brother wasn't recognized the father at birth he needed to take a DNA test to be recognized as the father. Results came back and it turns out he's not the father. The baby got used to him (my bro). The baby cries for him. She tells her aunt that Rudy who's the mom's husband dosn't love her. What to do?

I dont know why my parents tell me to stop watching soccer. I play soccer in the spring, and in fall. And i do play it in my backyard in summer. But winter is the only time i have to relax before i get back to the soccer season. At least im not watching cartoons. My parents tell me to go play soccer outback but really cant because i dont have a soccer goal, and im not aloud to kick it at the shed doors anymore after i broke the door. Its weird because im athletic.....but not in winter. Its really cold out. But my parents dont like me watching soccer all the time! it gets annoying when they tell me to stop watching soccer. My dad watched football. I should be able to watch as much soccer as i want!

She lives with her dad and her step mom sometimes throws gifts our side of the family sends out. We wait until we have her visiting us, to give her presents, but this is her 16th birthday (which is special). I figured that if I send a check, there is no money lost if she throws it out. If I buy a gift card or send a gift and she throws it out before my niece gets it... well, that is money down the drain. Wanted to send an amount that is decent... so how much would be nice (and correct)?

Our grown son is married to a bimbo and they had a son before they were married. My grandson is 2 years old now and we have been hearing stories that they are not even close to being good parents. They live 4000mi from us. My grandson's mother gets assistance from the church in the form of diapers and groceries. She takes the diapers to the store and gets store credit which she uses to buy cigarettes. He has developed diaper rash (go figure). They fight in front of the baby and now he screams bloody murder if anyone starts to play/wrestle with someone. He also bangs his head on the floor or wall in a tantrum. This mother of my grandson had another child 5 years ago (not my son's) and her own mother took that child away from her and now has legal custody. She never really fought for the child. As bad of a mother as I believe her to be, our son is not much better. My heart breaks for that baby. I am willing to raise him but hubby is not so willing, but he knows we should.

People think that I am a guy named Richard (devilstar_360) I'm not, i live with him, but i am not him.
We live in this house with these kids, they get on our nerves, we tease them, we bother them. They're losers, I feel sorry for the youngest, a little 6 year old since he gets teased alot because of his height, i know he can't help being born small, i guess it is pretty funny though. It's fun teasing him and everything and i don't mind teasing him, but my friends that are in this house are thinking about hurting him very badly, i don't want them to do that, sure i don't like him, sure i'd rather kick him out of the house, but hurting him i think is going too far, i want this to end. My friends won't get hurting him out of their heads, he's only 6.They don't care if he's an , a teenager, a child or a baby, they are going to hurt him. I need advice, i can't change sides because they'll hurt me if i do. I can't tell my friends to go home cause this is home. What should I do?

Ok i was on myspace right? and i keep posting bulletins that say like "go to hell" and stuff i'm letting my haters know that i don't care if they hate or not then this girl messages me saying "get the **** over it just blow them haters off" and stuff like that. I know she's right but this is an everyday thing for me like someone pisses me off by ignoring me or they just mess with me for fun like its a joke or something. Was she mad or something?

My parents are separated, and my dad's out of the picture pretty much. My mom is very manipulative and can be very mean to me, so I have to be careful not to get close to her emotionally. Most of my family tends to support my mom more than they do me. I'm in college and feel very isolated and lonely. I do have a few friends, but I'm afraid to talk to them about the stuff that's so crazy in my life (like what my mom does to me) because I'm afraid they'll freak out--their lives are so different from mine! I am in counseling, but I still feel lonely, especially for hugs and support from a mom. What can I do? Have any of you been in that situation and figured a way out? Can I get an "adopted" mom?

Thanks so much!

My mom has a severe drinking problem, she has had help many times, she stopped for a short time and now she trys sneaking drinks and shes become addicted to pain medications as a result of not being able to drink as much as she was....she is so 'loopy' all the time. I'm at the point where I don't even like visiting her anymore because she knows how I feel about the situation....and I don't enjoy her company much when shes like this. I know that a person needs to want to help theirself. She was always such a good mother when i was growing up, i hate to see her like this. Does anyone know of any good advice or some good website to get info from I can give to her, maybe open her eyes....??
Also, I am 23 weeks pregnant with my 1st child and her 1st grandchild, you would think this would be some inspiration for her, wouldn't you...?????

Have you ever gone through it? Do you suffer from post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) too? If so how do you handle it? If not, what are some ways you would handle it or cope with it?

Would be helpful to know how to get through such a life altering experience such as mental and/or physical abuse.
