At what point can you gather the strength to kick out a beloved child who is a heroin addict but refuses to get help. She is no where near bottom yet but she is having a bad effect on her younger sisters who look up to her. Is it possible to have her in the home and lay down your rules and expect her to obey them? Any suggestions please.

um where do i start.. he flirts with me, i dont want to ruin anything between me and my boyfriend- we have been together for 5 years and his dad in the last year has been overally friendly to me.

He is 53, im 19, personally age is not a problem for me- i dont see him as being pervy but i do feel awkward if im left alone with him- its only happened once and i did feel awkward.

Hes happily married to my boyfriend's mother and he is not the type of man to cheat or whatever, i dont know if hes goin through a crisis and seems to show affection towards me or whether its deeper than that?? His family dont seem to notice, although friends have mentioned that they've noticed but my boyfirend blames it on me and cant seem to get it into his head that his dad flirts with me and not the other way round...anyone help with how i approach this?

a couple months ago, after the prom, me and some of my friends (2 girls and 4 guys) threw a little prom afterparty. We were watching this really boring movie and i commented on its stupidity.

My friend ( a guy) tried to kick me from across the couch. he still had his prom dress sock s on. i grabbed his legs when he tried to kick me, pulled off his socks, and tickled the soles of his barefeet. He fell back laughing so hard that another one of my friends had to stuff one of his dress socks in his mouth. The gag muffled his laugh, and when he stopped laughing he put his socks back on, and called me a series of rude names, including queer. I don't know what to do, why is he so mad, i was only messing around. Maybe it had something to do with the fact that his feet stunk really bad when i pulled off his socks. please what should do, and how should i appoligize, because he still wont speak to me.

My son is 6 weekd old and he has Down Syndrome. Tomorrow we have our first IFSP meeting. At his evaluation we asked for a speech therapist to come. She seemd a little put out and did not quite know why she was there. She said there is nothing she can do until the baby is 1 years old. The research I have read says she should start to do "message therapy" and stuff like that right away. Any ideas on what I can tell the speech therapist so she knows what I am talking about and doesn't try to "get away with" not serving my son?

We spend time giving our kids "time outs" in order to teach them about acceptable behavior so they can grow up and be productive member os society to go to book stores and buy books that tell them they need to get rid of everything they have been taught and get in touch with their "true selves"

I know this is easily negatable but if you really think about how much to do teach our kids just to make it easier on ourselves as parents?

Do you have a story about something that your child or grandchild said that had everyone in stiches or embarrassed? When my daughter was 6 we were watching a soap opera where a gorgeous young woman, wearing a bikini and diamond earrings was making out with a hunky young guy. My daughter says to me "I know what he's going to do to her", Oh no, I thought, I was inwardly cringing, when she pipes up with, " He's going to steal her earrings!!".

My 23 yr old sis's husband has been 2 Iraq twice 4 a yr both times. He's in Iraq now so my sister moved here, home, with her inlaws. Me&my family were so excted about her moving home 4 a yr. But everything has changed. My sister cheated on her husband w/his ex-bestfriend &got pregnant w/ this losers child. She wanted 2 keep the baby and stay w/ this loser and told her husband in IRAQ! that she didn't want 2B w/ him anymore & wanted a divorce bc she loved "the loser"! OMG! Meanwhile my whole family, including me became distant 4m her bc we didnt know what 2 say 2 her. Than she decided she didn't want the baby, had an abortion & said she hated "the loser"& would do anything 2 get her husband back. (Meanwhile, my sister told everyone that she had a miscarraige, which every1 still thinks) Now she wants 2B back w/the loser! She just told me today that she's movin back 2 TN bc she hates it here &her fam is all up in her busines. What do I do/say? How do I act/Feel. I'm torn/hurt/concerned?

My parents are driving me bannanas! and I don't even live at home anymore. They come over every day for hours at a time. I mean from the moment I wake up to the moment I go to sleep they are there, and I'm TIRED of it. I've tried to be nice and it didn't work. I really want my own space, that's why I moved out and plus I have a kid, my mom just pushes me to the side and take over, I am tired of it, she's my child and I'm doing a pretty good job form my eyes. Any insight will be apresiated.
