..sorry if i caused any flash backs!! but siriously, did you? please share your story...and what would you do for that not to happen to your kids?

I happened to be walking through the kitchen and mom and dad were arguing about something. I was on my cell phone so I didn't know exactly what about. I saw my dad push mom into the wall and my friend on the phone asked me what happened because he heard some yelling and a loud noise. I told him that mom and dad were just having an argument and dad pushed my mom into the wall. After that I left to go to the store. My friend on the phone says I need to do something about that. I figure it isn't my business and I have no idea what they were arguing about so how can i judge who was right or wrong? Am I right?

There have been problems between my mother, stepfather and I for two years now, when I came out of the closet. Being my mother's only child, and the extremely young age that I came out at, it was brought on with hostility. Since all of that happened, I've ran away twice, been in a Behavioral Health Center, self-mutilated and currently have been for a year and a half, medicated for manic depression. When I got out of BHU I lived with my grandparents, but I left, because I lost my virginity and they threatened to turn the guy in because it was statutory rape, and I didn't like that. I can't go back there now, because my uncle lives there and he's homophobic. So here's the problem. I can't live with my parents because of how they treat me, but I have no where to go. If I run away, the cops will get called on me. I'd only get kicked out if I dropped out of school, but then I have no where to go.

My whole life was based upon chores. Vacuuming, dishes, taking care of my younger siblings, etc. When I turned 18, I was working, going to school, doing chores, and babysitting my younger siblings. I knew I was going to go to college and I was commuting, so I wanted to move out. I went and lived with my best friend and her family. A couple months later, my parents took away my car (that I paid for but was a joint ownership with my grandmother because lack of credit), my cell phone (again, I paid for it), and signed me out of high school because "I no longer lived with them." Also, they owed $3,000.00 to a catholic high school that I attended and it was left unpaid. My fiance's father ended up paying it off so I could get my transcripts and graduate. I got pregnant about 9 months later, and they acted like nothing in the past ever occurred. I forgave, but it's very hard to forget. Why did they do these hurtful things to me? Oh, by the way, I was always "Cinderella" growing up. Anybody?

my father and i havent talked in a month and i refuse to call him until he makes me think he wants to talk to me. He just got married to this witch and has completely changed. He keeps trying to push that whole stepmother thing on me and i keep telling him that her and I's relationship will grow as time goes on. So he kept pushing it and i stopped going over there. I dunno what to do. I wanna have relationship with my father but i dont want to feel presurred when i go over there. He has my number.... and he still wont call.

My mother and I have always had an EXTREMELY close relationship. she was my best friend up until about 6 months ago when she decided to move from idaho to illinois to get back together with a former ex (abusive) boyfriend from about 16 years ago. She told me that b/c so many years had passed he had changed alot and was a better man. so she divorced my step dad and left my 17yr old brother to live with her friend, and moved across the country. i went with her because i figured there would be some good opportunity for school. when we got here we found out he lives in his parents basement, was addicted to oxycontin, was an alcoholic, and numerous other very bad flaws. regaurdless-she married him a month later- divorced him the next mo. and moved back to idaho-now its been 2months and she told me shes moving back here to illinois because she "loves him and has to try to make it work". Again abandoning my brother. ive lost all respect. i dont know who she is anymore. Give up? plz Help

I'm talking about well educated professionals with new luxury automobiles, large telephone bills from recreational talking, charged up credit cards, and living in upscale neighborhoods getting financial help from lower income parents that are driving ten year old autos and living frugally?

Im seriously concerned about the level of unintelligible english that our kids of today are exhibiting. My 14 year old can spell but it's gotten past a joke with all the abbreviated computer jargon. Waz sup wif dem spll'n lyk spaztic dum azs coz i paid 4dem2 lrn blah blah blah blah blah................. Is the english language going to become instinct, Im worried that when I hit 80 and my children write me an email, that I may need some decoding book just to get past the greeting. i want to move out with my boyfriend, i'm sick of living with my mom and she controls every aspect of my life. she wants me to pay her 300 in rent and i dont even have my own privacy. she just thinks my bf is a loser, she's done this my whole adult life and she never exepts anyone, she even tells me to friken wash my hands before i eat!! i'm 23 and i want to move out she is tottally crazy but i dont want to hurt her, should i do it?

Usually when I'm in his room to do my work, he twirls his dick so that when I glance to the side I see his sorry ***. Worse is is the fact that my 12 year old brother sometimes is in the room and sees him do this. my relationship with my mom is a mess, we dont speak. i feel like because of him she is so angry and bitter now. we would never talk about him, i dont know much of him. when i got married i dropped his last name.soon after i was born, i was told by mom, that she cought him with a 16yearold. sometimes i feel like looking for him so he can apologize to my mom, and then maybe she will be happy. i dont have the need to meet him. when i was living with my mom, i usually thought that she wouldnt love me cause i remainded her of him, i went thru alot cause of her, but never blamed her. am the only child she has, but she loves to death more her dogs than me, am not kidding. i dont hate the dogs. they are the only ones that make her happy. but its really sad to me our relationship, and her life no love or friends. now that am a mom...I WOULD NEVER PUT MY KID what she put me thru or TREAT them like she did me. what should i do?

she has serious medical problems and my father died about 4yrs ago of cancer after a 9 yr battle. she is always up in arms and upset about everything. And on top of it all the money situation sucks. I feel that she resents me for wanting to live my life, like a normal 18 yr old.....wat do you think?

My boyfriend and I have known each other since the 8th grade, we've only been dating 6 months but we are engaged. We don't plan on getting married until after we both graduate, in like November or something. I don't want to tell my parents because I'm a little scared of what they will say. I had to leave my husband because he was lying and sneaking around. See my other questions to get the whole story! Now I am staying at my moms house with my kids. Well, today I noticed that some of the paper plates that i bought for my kids to eat off of were used. My kids are at school so I knew right away that my mom had used them.
