For as long as I've known him he's been miserable and moody. He runs the house like a tyrant by acting like a petulant child. The doctor has examined him time and again but apart from high blood pressure there isn't a damn thing wrong with him. Meanwhile he does nothing - and that means nothing - but sit on one chair, drinking gallons of beer and whisky (which does not actually affect him oddly enough or not physically anyway) and smoking. He's got us walking on eggshells and is still néver happy, my stomach is in knots if I even hear him come up the stairs because he'll have a gripe. He manages to make you feel so useless.
I feel like a total failure as a daughter and yet he has done nothing to ever deserve my sympathy. I know it sounds like no big deal maybe since he doesn't hit us but I just want to yell at him now and I'm scared.
How can he be suffering stress, he's been retired four years and does NOTHING.

I just agreed to allow him to live with my wife and kids and this is how he repaid me. What should I do? He told me that my 14 year old sister used to dry hump him when he was younger and that is why he chose to do it to my daughter, his niece. I feel so bad because I love him to death and I want to help him but I also have to protect my daughter. I NEED HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11

obviously, i'm her step mom. obviously, she trusts me. the question is...do i tell her Dad? forget any further details, if this was YOU...what would you do? telling her mother is NOT an option, she is not mature enough to handle it properly.

I am 16 years old. I have 3 younger siblings, age 12, 11, and 9. My mom won't let me see PG-13 movies because they are too young for my siblings! I won't watch the movies in front of them, or anything. This is so unfair. People my age are trying for Rated R, and I'm stuck with PG.

What is a good argument I can present to get my parents on my side? This is too unfair!

Yesterday, my mother invited me and my fiance, Jordan, for dinner. It started out ok. We were just talking about football and other things until my mom got on the topic of "us". She asked if we have ever kissed. I answered yes, and my mother got furious. She said I can't kiss him anymore because we're Atheists and he's a Catholic. I Cannot beleive this.

Also, on another topic, she forbids me to shave my legs. She is afraid that I will get skin cancer.

What should I tell her to get my freedome back? I am 22 years old. I have no idea what is happenening to my life

I used to date this guy what was half blk/wht...my aunt never really approved of him. the problem is i found out she voiced her opinion to others of the family instead of me. the guy and i are broke up now..its been a couple of years...but i still cant help to be mad at her for goin around me and talking to other about it instead of to me. i am 30yrs old and can stand up for myself. Not to mention she has voiced her thoughts about other stuff in my life to everyone but me. My mom says i should not hold a grudge, but i cant help it and now my mom expects me to fly to Conneticut for Christmas and says oh btw...your aunt is goin to be there, but asked me to civil around her...I hate racial people. They just come across as stupid.

What would you do? I just don't like her being 2-faced like that and don't want to be around her to hear the criticism about how I live my life, etc. later on. Nor have my kids exposed to it.

Ok, so the thing is, I am a 16 year-old-girl, and I keep track of my life in a personal journal. Over heard my mom talking to her friend on the phone yesterday. This is what I heard my mom say... "and I was reading Misty's journal like I ususally do when she's at school... turns out that she already had her first kiss... she's not even that pretty, it upsets me that a guy would press his lips against hers..." I only heard one end. I guess my mom didn't realize I was awake in my bed when she was putting my laundry away.

This has hurt me beyond words. First of all, I don't hide much from my mom, but of course I didn't tell her the second a guy kissed me... also, she called my "not very pretty".

My mom doesn't know that I heard her. What should I do?

My parents & my husbands parents are divorced and remarried with more kids. We are now married with a child of our own. Every holiday is spent running from house to house trying to visit everyone. It gets really complicated and quite frankly really old year after year. I think it would only be fair to our son (who is now 13 months) to start staying home for the holidays. Or at least at Christmas time. Coming from a broken family myself I know personally how it is to have so many places to visit and never getting to stay home and enjoy myself. I would like to start having Christmas at our house. The only problem is that our families also have families that they have over for the holidays. How do I convince them that they should start coming to our house? My husbands step mother to be exact. She has a big beautiful house that she loves to entertain in so I'm afraid they wouldn't come over at all due to the fact that she always has holiday parties. Am I being selfish? Help!

I am having a hard time keeping my anger under controll. Every time I see him I see his father. I love him to death, but I'm having a hard time expressing that and usually end up getting angry at him instead because of what abuse he suffered at the hands of his father (and from his father's partner.) I am angry with myself about his father, and he looks a lot like his father.

He is 17 but does not have anyone else to turn to (his father is in the hospital, waiting to go to jail), and his mother does not want his custodety. I want to keep his custodety so bad because he is 17..., but I don't want myself to keep getting angry at him..., and at 17 he would go into foster care and in his last year of school, I don't want to do that. Plus, I think that if I give up his custodety, he would think that he is worth nothing because the last person in the world who loves him is giving him up.

We just had a huge argument because his mother found aparking ticket violation in her car when I was using it. I have no doubt it was me but I simply didn't remember even getting the violation. I thought it was another apartment general notice and disregarded it. I didn't even think about it and left it along with my mail in her car. Now months later, she finds it and thinks I tried to hide it from her. This bothers me because I would never do something like that. Secondly, if I truly wanted to hide it, I don't think that putting it along with my things and leaving it in her car is the smartest way to go. And third, the DMV sends out notices stating that there a ticket issued so there would be no need for me to even hide it. And lastly, I would would never knowingly do this but she's just so upset and thinks I lied to her. What do I do? Even my fiancee was upset because it has causes a strain in the relationship. But I don't think this is fair to me either because its an honest mistake

My boyfriend told his mother in front of me that she looked really good. OK...no big deal. That was nice of him. But, then he went on to say that she looked so good that if he was not her son, he would want to ask her out. I was appalled! Do you think this is creepy and how would you deal with it?

I think it bothers me also to know that he used to go into the bathroom while she was going up until the age of 14 when his Dad said no more.
