My boyfriend told his mother in front of me that she looked really good. OK...no big deal. That was nice of him. But, then he went on to say that she looked so good that if he was not her son, he would want to ask her out. I was appalled! Do you think this is creepy and how would you deal with it?

I think it bothers me also to know that he used to go into the bathroom while she was going up until the age of 14 when his Dad said no more.

Note - To answer some of the questions...yes, my family was very close. We did cuddle, kiss and hug. My boyfriend does sometimes compliment me but not in the same way. It seemed as if he was over doing it.

That sounds a little over the top. I think I hear a banjo playing somewhere.

Some families are close like that. Maybe, he was just trying to make his mom feel good about herself. Maybe his dad doesn't ever compliment his mother and he took that opportunity to pay her a compliment. I don't know about the bathroom thing. I wouldn't have allowed my son or daughter to enter the bathroom when I'm in there probably pastst the age of 3 or 4.

This is a little creepy, a 14 year old boy should not go into the bathroom with his mother and she should not have allowed it for so long. You might want to keep your alerts on with this one.

I agree with indiechik77

I think he loves his mom so much that he likes to make her feel good by giving her compliments... one day, when you have kids, you'll realize a mom ad her son is a close bond. Just like a dad and his daughter....

Why read into something thats really so sweet and loving?

Its not a big deal. I wouldnt worry too much about it. There are a lot of families out there, who walk around half dressed in front of each other. You have abviously been bought up differently, so it an adjustment for you. no it is not creepy, just different.

Some one has taught him to flatter women, he just forgot that the woman was his Mother, point it out to him. If it continues, find a new boyfriend, he may just like the motherly type...Gross.

i think he just has a great bond with his mother and was trying to make her happy by saying that, all families are brought up diffrently, prehaps your family isnt that close?did you get cuddles and love?and i dont mean that nasty.

I think he was just being nice. If it bothers you to the point that you have to hold a grudge, move on.
If he starts talking about stuff sexually or talks in a sexual way to her, move on.
