People think that it's a safe way to conduct proper behavior in a business setting. I don't really agree with it. I think that if someone is talking about a specific race/gender/whatever with positive intention, it shouldn't matter what language they're using. For example, Native Americans no longer wish to be called Native Americans because they lived here before it was America. They want to be called First Nations now. If I didn't know that and said Native American with good intentions, I could still be lambasted by a politically correct party. Political correctness is stupid.

Because people today are over sensitive and feel they are being attacked. The idea is that if you are PC you never risk offending anyone. Of course like most things the idea works in moderation, but the PC Police have warped it and brought it to the point where many folks are fearful of opening their mouths at all.

It's meant to be a way to not offend anyone. Like it's not Indian it's Native American or some **** like that. Supposedly a way to make everyone happy.
