Family - October 2006

My crush does like me, I am pretty sure. I like him too(a lot), and I don't know what to do. He's really sweet. My friends tell me to talk to him, but I am shy. Also, my parents don't allow me dating in HS. They're extremely strict! My dad will probably get mad if he finds out I like someone; he thinks it's a bit slutty. Ugh. I am a goody goody two shoes. All of my friends tell me they'd go out with their crush. My heart tells me to try to go out with him, but my brain tells me to listen to my logical side. What do I do?
I don't wanna hurt his feelings.

My issue: My husband states that it is my job to keep the house clean and if I can't keep it clean (read: clean up after him), then I am doing too many other things. He states that he shouldn't have to do dishes because he doesn't cook or use them. It's my job to do his laundry and pick up after him. I work from home, have 2 school aged children, run a girl scout troop and am room parent and yearbook chair this year. In addition, take care of my mother's financial affairs and assist her when needed. We have been married nearly 18 years. He was raised with a maid and sitters. Growing up and being the oldest, I was the maid and sitter of 4 sisters and brothers. I would really appreciate some advice because I've had enough. This is the same old thing from him, different day.

This is a long story so please bear with me. i am an adult with my own child and my parents have divorced. my father alone has done awesome. works. has his own house. doing his own thing and i think it is great. my mother on the other hand received well over 100k in settlement and just can not get her act together. every guy she meets she moves in with. always messing up her bank accounts. not paying bills. she would move in with someone and not tell me and my brother where she is. i have been told more times than i can count that basically anything that she does is not my business. so recently there is this guy that she is dating. he is totally bad news- has been abusive, on drugs, truck driver that has been charged with DUI, unemployeed and my mother has caught him on line talking with other women. there has been nothing positive about this guy. so last week she drops the bomb that she is marrying this guy- and if we dont deal with it she is done with us. am i wrong for flipping out

I'm married and I'm living with my wife and two sister in laws. My sister in laws are are 17 and 15 years old. My wife's parents are dead and so I treat them like my daughters. They call me 'bawa' which means dad in arabic. I like being called that cause I seriously treat them like my daughters. Is it okay for them to call be that?

I need steps to take in order to get it done. My mother said that I am not leaving this house until it is done. Plus my room is very small and I have way too much stuff in there since she decided to give my desk & shelf to the neighbor!

My schedule everyday is so packed that I can't do it, not to mention balance out all of my other chores.

I have a huge stress mark on the back of my head! Somebody help me please!

My husband was born in England, moved to Canada became a Canadian citizen as a child. We got married in Canada and now wondering if my kids will be able to aquire british citzenship or remain only Canadian citizens? Would they have to apply for their citizenship?

This will be hard to fit into few characters,maybe reading a previous question may help.Recently my relationship with my mother has disintegrated while her relationship with her moron partner flourishes even though he does such contemptible things to her e.g. sleeps with her sister,registers with dating sites to meet other people,accuses her of cheating,steals her money,has hit her & constantly intimidates her,sleeps with his ex wife & takes her on holiday to USA (!),doesn't help with her bills & lives at her home rent free,he doesn't have a job & doesn't help with chores.I always considered my mum as my best friend,all I ever did was try to help her through a previous 10 year abusive relationship & I'm her own child yet I'm discarded as easily as a used tissue.She says she doesn't want to talk then sends sentimental texts & gifts.Am I crazy in thinking this is weird?I don't see what I've done to deserve it.I don't want pity,I want to understand why she messes with my head & feelings?

I am tryin to locate my brother that is in the Navy stationed in Japan. The Red Cross can't do it unless their is a family emergency. We have looked at different sites, but they need the actual rank and official job that he has, which we aren't sure of because he changed jobs right before he left. We just want to make sure he is safe, and to just get a friendly hello to him. Can someone please help me or give me some hints?

I have tried everything, table food, having her sit with the family, nothing is working the only thing i can get her to eat is cracker and cookies. She won't let me feed her, she refuses to open her mouth and if i do she either gags or tries spitting it back out. What do I do???

have watch my son play on JV for 2 years they are undeated and he makes pics intersection and touchdown all the time. great receiver people always ask why isn't he on varsity. I thought at once it was his age he is only 16 but then 2 coaches on the varsity team as told my other son that he should go to another school if he wants to play and the other coach told my husband that he is the best player they have on the team but they don't like his attitude. My son is a happy child when I say happy I mean happy he is always up beat joy ful and all the kids love him. I believe that the coaches think he is not serious because he is so happy but i can't see why because he is always at every pratice and summer camp and plays the game well and he also wants to go to college. need help please

I'm 17 yeard old. I'm staying with my boyfriend's aunt, he's staying with his stepfather. I have no family to go to for help. My boyfriend is living virtually in the middle of nowhere, and I"m pretty far from the city too. We don't a vehicle . When it comes down to it, we don't have anything. A few clothing items and eachother that's it. We need help. I honestly think I'm losing my mind. I'm just so lost, I don't know what to do. Please someone help figure something out. I can't keep living like this.

My mum is the only one who is over protective of me!I am 15 and feel i am old enough to be able to go out and enjoy my self without her ringing me nearly every hour!!!She doesnt even knock on my door before entering my room,and whenever i am finished talking on the phone with a friend she asks who it was and what they were saying!She lets me go to discos and town with friends but is just over protective!Was any1 elses parents like this when you were my age?Or is my mother just a freak!!!!!!!!(",)

ago. She left him at birth. When she finally found him.He thought she was dead((long story)). He was in shock and decided to give her a chance so we met her drove all the way to meet her. She was great. Though she lived in GA and we lived in La. We talked over the phone.After talking to her for a few months she decided to wanna borrow a bunch of money and their was other problems so we stoped talking to her. When Katrina came we decided once again to give his mom a chance. We moved to GA and it was wonderful for him to be there we got to know his sister((16 years old))). However, his mom wanted to be mommy and didn't see he's a grown man. She didn't see me in the picture didn't think we should marry and when she found out we was pregnant a few months before the wedding. She hated that idea even more. My husband decided to leave. And loose contact with her. His sister was in a foster family because his mom drug problems. So I had my son. NOT DONE DON"T ANSWER TILL I ADD ALL DETAILS.

Ok, so when my grandma (my mom's mom) was younger she gave birth to a daughter. She wanted to marry the father of the baby, but he said absolutely not unless she gave the girl up for adoption. So, she did. They got married and went on to have 4 other kids. I would like to find my aunt. I can't ask my grandma any questions because she is so ashamed at what she did back then (the marraige never worked out either). So, I know what the biological mother and fathers name was and what state she was born in, but that's all I know. Does anyone know of anyway to go about finding her??? Would prefer a free way, but if not something fairly cheep. Can anyone help??

what do i do? ok heres the story.... my dad is an angry man and he cant control his temper and he screams and hits me all the time. i dont have any contact with my mom and when she calls he wont let me talk to her at all and he wont let me go see her. i cant even have a caring boyfriend..i have had a caring boyfriend and he made us break up and almost beat the crap out of me. what can i do to make this stop?
