I dont know what to do. My mother in law hates me one day and loves me the next. She tells me not to ask her to babysit my kids, and when she finds out I asked someone else to do it, she gets mad that I didnt ask her. I dont agree with some of the things that she does (drinking and driving, smoking with my kids around etc.) I told her that I dont want my kids around the smoke and alcohol, and she gets mad at me and tells me I dont know what Im doing as a parent. My husband isnt my oldest sons father, and last year after 3 years together, she said she doesnt consider him part of the family (he was only 7 at the time). She has repeatedly done horrible things, like telling everyone to eat before my wedding because I wouldnt have enough food for everyone! She made life miserable for me, and I forgave her because of my husband and my children. Now things have been good for a while, and now she is doing it again. I dont know what to do! Help please!!

For the past 4 months I have been dealing with a progressively dibilitating pain issue that my doctors have been, so far, unable to diagnose. It has caused me to be unable to perform the most mundane tasks such as standing, walking, driving, etc. I can no longer even cook, do laundry or clean my house. The problem is: neither my husband nor our granddaughter who lives with us while attending college or our children who live within 45 minutes of us have offered to help me. I have always been a strong, independent person who has kept this family up and running. Now I need them and they don't seem to have the time or see the need. The house is a mess, the gardens are in a deplorable state and I can't do anything about it. I've asked, begged, pleaded for help. Nothing seems to work. I feel like ripping their heads off, but that's not my usual style. I'm at my wits end. Any suggestions?

My Dad has 2 other kids- I'm the oldest, and they're all with different women. My parents don't get on. This became pretty clear when I was younger, so I dealt with it, and moved on. I'm a lot older now, I'm doing things I thought he'd be proud of, and yet he never says anything good about me. I thought I was beyond the stage where it mattered- but recently I decided to make more of an effort, but . . He says really horrid things about me sometimes, refers to me as a child, tells people he thinks I dress like a prostitute ( I Don't he's just really conservative), and none of his friends knows who I am, they just know that I am my mother's daugher, n my mother is power mad b***h. It angers me because I know I'm better than he makes out- but I want him to acknowledge it . His idea of a compliment, was I am 'domesticated' whilst my younger sister is not. I really want to confront him about all this- but I kno frm experience he will only try and tell me it in my head. Any Advice?

I love the job I am at and I am going to move up the ladder soon. But yet my husband want me take a job working 60-70 hrs a week when all I have to work now is 35-40. There is a huge differrence in the pay but I have 3 girls 8-9-12. I am offended that he would suggest this to me. I have a hard enough caring for them now. I work 8 hrs a day, come home cook , clean help with homework, take them the dentist and doctor run errands for him, pay the bills (with his check and mine) He make 15$ hr. He says we will get ahead faster. Oh well my kids come first, when they are grown and out of the house, then cool I had already set my mind to work after they are out of the house but until then I barely have time to breathe now as it is. What do think? I told him that he is wrong for suggesting that. He said do what you want to do. Am I being inconsiderate of us getting ahead in life sooner than later?

I've been in a relationship for 9 years.Everything is good. The only problem is, well the biggest problem is THE CIGARETTES. I hate them. For one the smell gets into your clothes,sheets,curtains,hair.Everything.Then theres the health risks.I mean 9 years of second hand smoke is killing me.And the kids.I can't take it anymore.I won't out just because of them.

So my question is.Would it be wrong to end a relationship, because the person won't stop smoking cigarettes? It's not even like she compromises with me and smoke in one room, she just walks all over the house smoking a pack a day.Thats all I smell, even when were outside Ican't get a breath of fresh air.

My daughter was 8 years old when I re-married. Her Step-Father has been wonderful to her. He always treated her well and bought her anything she asked for and paid for her college education. Her Bioligical Father was never around and paid for nothing. When she told us that she was getting married recently I assumed that she would want her Step-Father to give her away at the Wedding. However, she surprised the both of us when she told us that she had recently been in contact with her Bioligical Father and that they were working on reparing their relationship. Therefore, she asked her Bioligical Father to give her away at her Wedding. I told her that I was as shocked and hurt as her Step-Father was. I told her that if she was excluding her Step-Father that we would not pay a cent on the Wedding. She said fine then you two are not invited and we have not seen or heard from her for 6 months now. We have tried calling and sending letter's we both miss our Daughter and love her very much.

I have twin kids. Actually my kids are the fifth twin kids from my wife's house. Her grand ma, mum and she her self is one from the twine. Her elder sister also has twin kids. Special attraction is no similarities with the face and nature. All of them are totally different from the other twin, even in length and size. If it's hereditary, what is the reason?

as to whether a man cooks or not? I married young, my partner was still living at home with his parents, he has never cooked a meal in his life, if I'm too busy or back late, he'll go and get take away food. Do you think that a woman becomes a mother figure if her partner has never lived alone?
It's the same with housework, every now and then I'll have a moan and he'll push a hoover round, but I do it all.
It's what I have become used to so I doubt I'll change it, and not sure I'd like fried egg and bacon every time he would cook if that happened.
Are there any men out there that cooks well, and does the odd bit of housework, who have never lived by themselves ever?
