i just got back surgery for scoliosis but because of that my mom is freaking out and is stressed out. I got the surgery a month ago and im able to walk round tha house get up on my own so in other words i dont really need my mom as much as i did when i first got back home from the hospital. What is a good way to help her relax a little so that she wont be as cranky anymore!?!?

My husband and I are on a budget with 5 kids.
I like making delicious, healthy, fun meals... he claims mine are not enjoyable and that he has the best ideas. Please tell us whose several meal ideas are better:

Mine--> Chicken Nuggets & Smiley Face Potatos, Ramen Noodles (Chicken Flavor) w/ Cracker Barrel Shredded Cheese on top, Fried Ham w/ Canned Potatos, Hot Dogs w/ Easy Mac.

His--> Pepperoni w/ slice Green Peppers & Sauerkraut, Ground Beef w/ Noodles & Soy Sauce (all mixed together), Fried Liverwurst w/ Sliced Beets.

Honestly.. WHOSE is BETTER?

okayy its my boyfriend's mom's birthday and her family is going through some hard times they just had to move out of their house but they may move back but as for now they are living in a hotel, they aren't exactly the wealthiest people but the manage and for her birthday i was thinking to give her 100$ or 125 $ but now that i think about it she may get the impression that i think she is poor because one i don't have a job two i am only 14 i am also giving her a 25 dollar 14 kt. necklace

Guys, it's been a hard day. My son called me to get him from school, but he knew I'd be at school, so he called his stepmom. She brought him to my house, but the door was locked. I found out a couple of hours ago that he'd planned to come home and o.d. on pills. Now he's feeling better, but what happens tomorrow, next time he wants out? I'm trying to find a counselor. My ex threw him out 2 mos. ago and it's destroying my son, who idolizes his dad. Please suggest things I can say/so to make it better.

I asked if he felt better that he'd talked to me, and he said yes. I'm working to find an affordable counselor. He cuts on his arms now and then, and is taking Abilify (low dose) for mood stabilizing.

I lost one child to an accidental death many years ago. I can't even bear to think of something happening to either of my sons. They are such treasures and deserve all of the richness that life offers after teenager-hood.

she has a fulltime job but spends ALL her money on clothes, makeup, drinks and so on ... Hi I have a rather horrid stuation. I am a 42 year old father. My daughter who is 17 was trying on some clothes, and I guess when she was trying on her bikini for the beach, she walked out from her room to the kitchen for a second or so.

I have never thought of my daughter in any type of sexual way, obviously as I am her father. But for some reason when I saw her in her bikini, I became aroused. I mean VERY aroused. It was very VERY disturbing to me, I felt as if I had no control.

Whats worse is that I think she may have noticed as I was standing in the kitchen when it it happened. I went back to the living room quickly to "shake it off" and sat on the couch.

My daughter is a very beautiful girl and physically very attractive but I am her father and should in no way become aroused just because she wore a bikini. I am feeling disgust with myself. My question is should I feel shame? This has never happened before and it deeply disturbes me. Should I feel disgusted?

I grew up living with only one parent. I had plans to go to the movies with this friend but he couldn't go because of his dad's birthday. Then the next day, he couldn't do anything either because of more spending-time-with-the-family stuff. why the Hell spending time with family is so important. I just don't get what is so special about it, seeing as how I have never spent time with family like that before. My friend later explained that he hardly gets to go out and spend time with his dad, and that is when I so badly wanted to say, "Oh, and you think that I do that stuff all the time?" Instead I wonder why it is still so important to him that he spends time with their dad because lately, that is all he ever talks about. He says all the time that he never spends time with his dad but tells me like a thousand stories about what he did when he does spend time with him. I just don't get it, why does he act like he never gets to hang out with his dad, when he have tons of stories to tell?

Something I was just thinking about today. My friends husband and his mother jumped all over my friends case the other day over something completely petty and it wasnt even my friends doing. Her husband seems really close to his mom and sometime I think he acts like her as well. My brother acts a lot like my mom and sometimes they act like one in the same person. My husband acts nothing like his mom, I think it may be do to the fact that his mom lives thousands of miles away. Do men tend to act like their parents if they spend a good amount of time with them? Or this could also refer to women, although my husband says I am nothing like my mom. Do our parents have that much of an affect on us as adults? Are certain personalities heredetary?

He wants a divorice because he says she doesnt do the bills good enough and doesnt keep the house clean. my mom thinks he is just depressed but now he is serious about it and I dont know what to say or do around him. its affecting me and my siblings grades and we are all way stressed out. help!
