First you need to know WHY they're moving. It may not be a matter of choice for them. If that is indeed the case, I dont think there's much that you can say to change their plans. Your place is to go with the flow and accept the change. It's not WHAT happens in our lives, but rather HOW one copes with life's ongoing challenges.

Been there many times when I was a kid---9 to be exact.
My parents moved to take better jobs, and build a better life, not to ruin MY life.
You'll get over it.
Nothing you say will likely even matter at this point.......sorry.

There is really not much you can say because they have their reasons for wanting to move whether it because a better job, better neighborhood, better house, better school.....there are so many reasons. The best thing to do is just welcome a move and try your best to make new friends and adjust.

well, there might be an important reason that they wanna move!
i know you dont wanna move because you have friends and such where u r, but their decision is probably final.
but still, talk to them and let them know that u dont wanna say gooodbye to your home.

Tell them that if you have to move you'll have you lips, tongue and nipples pierced, and that you'll shave your hair into a Mohawk As a parent, that would scare the hell outa me.

First say: "I have friends here and I don't want to talk to them on the phone," then say, "I like this place. It's better," then say, "This place is funner," things like that.
