Why not...at least they are willing to talk. Thier views may be different because of the age gap but its still another opinion if you need it. Its also support for you. There are lots of kids whos parents wont even talk about things with them. Also what they have to say may give you a different veiw of the problem. Trust me they have been around for that long ...they have made many mistakes and found many solutions. Hope this helps.

No. It means that they see you as being responsible and trustworthy and more mature than someone else that age.

Just sit there and listen. You learn a lot from older people and most of it is stuff that you end up needing to know later down the road. They also have some pretty good stories about their youth and some crazy stuff they did. Ask them about this! It will make them feel good.

In either age direction. there is always a wealth of information that can be gleaned from another generation. in U.S. the elderly are not treated like in so many countries where they consider that the longer someone lives the more they know about life. Here in the United States. we are all know it all's and don't value advise from older people to our own stupidity.

Yeah really dumb, you'd think they were actually 16 themselves at some point! Morons. You're best to invest in a good teen magazine and follow advice from all those wise chicks there.

they was young once. but in some cases, a younger councilor would work better. some 16 year-olds need a younger person to talk to. experience is good but I understand what you mean.

Teenagers have enough problems. Find someone your own age to discuss problems with. Ask your problems here and listen to what everyone is saying then make your own decision.
