I am planning on moving out of my mom's house in 3 months with my boyfriend. Lately when I think about it- I get this really sad feeling. To me, home is where my mom is and I dont know if I even want to anymore, but I am 21 and I know I'm going to have to move out sooner or later. How did you feel when you left home? - or if you havent yet are you scared to do it?

We have bought popcorn, cotton candy, candy of all types, chocolate covered strawberries, I just still want to remain creative so that our boys always look forward to our special night.

I have very nice in-laws and a wonderful husband. Although I respectfully acknowledge thier holidays as well as attend thier holiday get togethers they never send cards or even verbally acknowledge my holidays. I have invited them to holiday parties and explained my holidays to them yet they still act as if my holidays don't exsist. I don't want to hurt anyones feelings but I am hurt and growing a bit resentful. has anyone else experienced this problem? Tell me about your situation. It will make me feel less alone. Thanks.

I know that the usual answer for any worries one could have about someone else's life would be "mind your own business". Anyway my sister over feeds her daughter and the kid is three years old and already obese. In the case of the well being and health of a child being involved, should I still just mind my own business and not interfere? I feel sad when I see she cant run like other kids without being tired and having to stop. Would it be advisable that I genty try to talk to my sister and see if I can get her to do something?

out of the blue, 4 days ago, my partners son called him. now all of a sudden, he wants to meet his dad. ive always known that my partner had kids, but now, they are coming out of the woodwork. i just find it strange that someone would call and want to get to know someone after 20 years.

then to make matters worse, he doesnt drive, so his mother is bringing him up here, which is 5 states away from where they live. i dont have a problem with the son staying with us, but i made it clear from the first phone call that i dont want the mother in my house.

after last night, i am being called jealous because i refuse to let her stay in my house. i told my partner that i think that its being disrespectful to me to even consider having her stay in my home. then i am being called jealous and hateful because i dont want her here. its not a problem with the son. i accepted his oldest daughter without a problem. in fact, i was the one that got them talking again after 15 years.

I have always been there for my sister. I work full time but on the weekends when she's needed a babysitter I have been there. When her marriage broke down she expected me to live with her to give her support which I did.I have always paid out financially too as she thinks as I have no dependents and work full time I have lots of money.I babysat for her last weekend & I have to babysit for her on sunday even though I dont want to go back out to her house but instead want the kids to come into me for a change. Is that so wrong. She has hurt me recently with spiteful comments and I feel very upset, confused and unhappy and just want to do my own thing this weekend even though I dont mind looking after the kids in my own home. She lives 2 hrs away from me yet she expects me to come out to her. Help.

My Mother died July 05- my father started dating someone very reg. in March- he is informing me on a weekly basis how SERIOUS their relationship is. I like this woman, and I have known her most of my life- however the idea of my Dad remarrying , really upsets me. My Mom died of cancer at home and my Dad did a great job of taking care of her- I'm sure he deserves his happiness-but I feel this new relationship cheapens the relationship he had with my mother. I have a family of my own- I guess I should be happy that my Dad has found someone he can share his life with too. Do I need to just keep my mouth shut about my feelings and be happy for my Dad?

Just got out of a really bad relationship and my girlfriend told me she was two months pregnant and having my baby. Said I would be allowed access but she wanted to veto my future girlfriends and if i got back together with my ex before her my access would be denied...Walked away cos i'm scared she'll use the baby to manipulate my life... I would love to see my daughter but i don't want to confuse her and i think she'll just inherit my ex's negative feelings towards me and my ex will always try to make an example of me... also i think i'll be so far down the pecking-order that i won't be able to be a proper father to her... answer without prejudice please...

Yes, this is the same daughter that I've continuously have had problems with. Yesterday, I posted a question concerning legal issues with harboring a runaway. Thank you all for your responses. She's finally home now and safe (Thank God), but now she refuses to go to school. We've tried just about everything from therapy to police intervention programs to just sitting down to talk with her, all to no avail. She has about 9 months until she graduates high school and 3 months until she turns 18. The police can't do anything unless she commits a crime. She was all set to join the military, but she backed out of that too. Her biological father wants nothing to do with her (but of course he's always offering advice - F***ing Loser). I know we have certain parental obligations to make sure she goes to school, but the problem lies with physically making her go.

When my husband & I got together he had 2 girls I had 1. We also have added 1. My mother in law has always told me how she will always favor the older one of his girls. His dad does the same to his younger one. MIL told me she hated me & wanted to kill me. She also said she hated my daughter. I called the police & it was dropped in court because I had no proof. She also told hubby this after the court date. She admitted herself in the Psych ward for a week. We didn't speak for almost a year. It has now been about 6mo since we started talking again. She said all this because she raised his kids. Their mother is a piece of crap. Then when we moved in together "I took them away" & so forth. My husband never stood up for himself or his children. Then I came along & he decided he wanted to be more involved with the kids. He started standing up to them for his kids & for me. Now things are going slowly back the way they were. Hell for me. Any advice?
