I won't say the age of my daughter, I just want to know if there is a legal age that kids can be home alone, ie after school. My daughter is very mature for her years, but I don't think she's off a legal age to be home alone, although I trust her completely.Alot of kids are roaming the street, out playing in the dark having to take care of tehmselves at a far younger age. If anyone knows any info I will pleased to hear from you

my 14 yr old son started having problems last yr., not caring about school or chores, gets angry easy and for little things, constantly telling lies, my husband and I are grounding him all the time and it doesnt help. We decided to get some family counseling, so we can better communicate and encourage our son to open up, take pride in things, and be honest. Has anyone else been through this? What happened? I am nervous as is my son. Any help is appreciated.

I divorced my ex-husband 11 years ago and it was very messy. At the beginning he completely ignore his daughter which was only 3 years old, then when she turned about 6 he started to come around every other month to see her. Again when she was around 9 yrs old he disappeared and We didn't see him until I file a petition for child support when she turned 11 yrs old because i needed his help. when I did this he claim that the child wasn't his and the court ordered a dna to prove paternity. when the result came back he was ordered to pay all back payments and we came a agreement that he could get visitation rights on the weekend with supervision because the child did not know him very well. he began to pay the money he owed and started to see his daughter, but after a few payment and visits he stop again. Now our daughter is 15 years and he taking me to court to get full custody claiming I don't allow him to see his child and thretens that the court will give him custody. can he do this?

My son lives in London with his father and will be 21 in less than 2 weeks. I live 300 miles away. He has no hobbies or interests that I can easily discern, is not at work and gets frustrated, bored and depressed. But 21 is a landmark. Anyone help me with a great idea here?

Just having a dilemma...Watching brother play golf for the first time in his life could be mildly amusing....but golf is a bit dull isn't it!? Or I could go to Manchester and shop in Aflecks Palace and spend money I don't really have. Hmmm...I'll do majority verdict!!

My son is 6 years old and has started Kindergarten this year and he loves it. He is a wonderful smart boy who's goal is to make everyone laugh. My husband and I have 4 children, he is the 2nd to the oldest. We are very involved with our childrens school and extra curricular activities. He is my baby and I love him so much. When he goes to school though he is another boy. He doesn't listen to the teachers he bully's 1st graders on the play ground. He'll be at the top of the slide throwing people off of the slide. He interrupts the teacher all the time. The thing is I know the teacher personally and she loves my son, he is always the 2nd or 3rd done with his work and she says he is so smart. But he can't seem to control his arms and legs and I am starting to get discouraged. Does anyone have any advice for a desperate mom to help her child in anyway possible????

Thanks for your help!

I have tried to be a friend to them, and support them. But I will not cover up their mistakes or protect them from their Dad. They have quit talking to me because I support him on house rules. They want to be able to do what they want when he is not around. They argue with me when I remind them about being home on time, and say it is none of my business. I talked to him about this and he got angry at them and now I am the bad person. Should I just ignore them too? Or should I apoligize and just turn my head when they are doing wrong things?
