well i'm 15, and i live with jsut my mom. my dad and mom never got married, my dad lives in toronto with my two bayb brothers and stepmom, i still have communication with trhat family alot. anyways my mom was with this guy for 10 years got married after 2 years he moved out after a yr of marrige and theyve been on and off and now my mom has low self esteem and just rambles on about how she needs a bf and stuff. its taking alot out of me, since i'm in highschool its setting a bad example for me. i'm really close with my aunt and uncle and dont know if i should go there for a while maybe. what should i do?

i have 3 children my husband has raised them for 4 years. Their real father isnt around and when he wants to see the kids he thinks that him and I should have something like example (ill come see my kids if you have sex with me) my husband wants to adopt them. Their real father is always in jail right now hes in prison. The kids dont really know him they all think that my husband now is their dad and Im worried on how some day down the road we tell them diffrent how it will be for them. I think it will be hard for them since their real dad hasnt been in thier lives that when he does come around in and out that it will be worse for them how can I get my husband to adopt if their real dad wont sign papers.. I know if a mother or father goes so long without seeing them its considered abandoment?

do you work as hard as you can at work during the day and keep up a household for yourself and kids and all it ever seems is that you are finding things they lost, taking them back and forth to little leauge, cheerleading practice and games, getting special little things that they just have to have, getting off the phone so teenagers can talk, virtually getting no computer time on your own computer, putting up with them using all your deoderant, shampoo, drinking your last diet cola in the fridge .. and you just are happy that you have a family and kids to do all these things for but do you ever wish you could just get a sincere THANKS MOM.. does anyone else ever feel like all you do goes unappreciated and do you think that they will ever realize when they get older how great they really had it all along???

I am a single parent trying to juggle homework, dinner, baths, etc. for 2 kids. 10yr and 8yr. Ok my 10yr is a bright student never needs my help doing homework where as my 8yr is opposite, does anyone have any ideas for me??? I get totally frustrated trying to get him to understand math, it gets to the point where i am yellling at him, no i dont call him names but yelling is bad enough. i have tried getting my 10yr old to help but he doesnt respond to that as well....go figure, his sister is VERY patient. i find that i am just not patient with either one of them, i lose my temper quickly and i cant understand why? i see and hear myself doing this and i cant stop myself.......i dont want to make them feel inferior, but i know it stems from the way my father was towards me......please any advice at all.

my mom and my biological dad divorced when I was 2 yrs. old then she began dating my stepdad and they married when I was 5 yrs. old.
Which was when I was in 1980 and they have been married for 26 yrs.,but my mom tells all her friends that they have been married for 33 yrs.
When I do mention stuff about my Aunt's and Grandma from my real dad's side to my mom's friends, my mom says "Oh they are just friends" and that is a lie.
can anyone explain to me why she does this?

It seems that I can't do anything right for my parents. My homework is never completed to perfection, although I always hand it in on time and get full point value, my grades aren't good enough although I get all A's and B's and am on at least the honor roll every quarter. Everything I say seems to be wrong to them although I try so hard to keep attitude out of my voice. Is it me? What can I do to gain their approval? It seems like I keep working for nothing because nothing pleases them. Help me?
