Add fiber to his diet, maybe a couple prunes.

I am going through a similar situation with my 2 1/2 yr old.
Your question tells me that your son is not ready yet. Remember every child will eventually be potty trained, but you can not push it. Every child is different and will come around in their own time.
Suggestion: read potty training books and be patient.
Also, keep in mind that any changes to your sons daily activities or any stressful times will make a difference in potty training (for instance I am having another baby in about 2 months, so for now I am going through the motions with him, but his actions tell me that he may not be ready until the new member of our family is settled in, so he may be 3 yrs old before "he is ready"). You can show him the basics, but let him lead the way.
Hope this helps :o)

The magic water seem to work best tho I used blue food coloring in the toilet no chemicals .. But to be honest I think it comes down to the child just being ready. My neice was almost 3 before she was potty trained and all of a sudden she just had to go to the potty. You can push and push but unti lthe child is ready not a whole lot you can do.

If he's younger than three then you shouldn't pressure him to use the potty yet. Doing so could actually backfire and cause delay.
If you wait until the proper age, you more than likely won't even need an incentive.
But if he's older than three, I'd definitely get the advice from your doctor.

Okay calm down this happens. Sometimes you just have to put your foot down if he crys to get off the potty and you take him off and put a diaper on him then he is gonna continue to think "Hey if I cry mommy is gonna give me what I want." I had to leave my nephew on the potty for one whole day and yes he cried and I wanted to console him but you dont want to have to go to preschool with him just to change his diaper. After he eats sit him on the potty dont let him walk around with a cup in his hand all day he can drink when he eats his meals this will cut out the amount of times he use the bathroom. It is actually harder to train boys then girls so dont feel alone mothers are going through the same thing all over the world. You can also try the Wet Sensation Pull-up that will let him know when hes wet. With a little patience (which I know is thin) it will work out.

It seems to take boys longer than girls to potty train. How old is your son? I kept trying to potty train my son & my mom told me when he's ready he'll go. He was 2.5 yrs old & one day we had been out & when we came in he told me he needed to potty on the toilet. Yes, he did it all by himself. Also, try & turn him facing the back off the comode & give him a car to play with & he'll get his mind off of it & the next thing you know he'll go. Good Luck & don't sweat it to bad.

There are books for children about going to the potty. Perhaps you could go buy one and read it to your son?

TRYING TO FORCE YOUR CHILD TO POTTY TRAIN WILL JUST FRUSTRATE YOU MORE THAN ANYTHING ELSE. JUST LET HIM GIVE YOU SIGNS HES READY.IF HES NOT READY HES NOT READY. HOW OLD IS HE?GOOD LUCK. BEEN THROUGH IT 5 TIMES AND HAVE 1 MORE TO GO.
