My brother in law did that a while ago. My father in law told him to go ahead and call he'd make sure they had a reason to arrest him. My brother in law was a little punk and mouthy and my father in law should have beat him. Needless to say he never called and my father in law never beat him but if you could hear the way that he talks to his parents and the way he acts you'd be thinking that he should have been beat too.

I have had people tell me that they would tell their kids that. I had a child spanked so they called the police. The mother told the police that they better take her to jail now, because as soon as they left she was going to spank her child again. They didn't take her to jail. It was only a spanking. Your mother sounds like she was angry and didn't know how to handle it, so she went a little over board since your threat was serious. I wonder what happened between you? Did you get the issue resolved? It is not good when parents and children cannot get along. Did they come anyway?

Actually yes, But the roles were reversed I was babysitting my little brother and he took off. I found him and spank his little bottom and took his bike from him. (I didn't leave a mark on him and I didn't hit him I spanked him after I took him off the bike. I am not a child abuser) He threaten to call the Child Services and my mom so I ask him which one did he want first and he said my mom so I dial the number and handed him the phone. He didn't know what to say so he hung up on her .. hehehe

Yeppers when I was a teenager (a long long time ago hehehe) I told my mom once I was going to call the police if she hit me and then she hit me, handed me the phone and said go ahead I dare you but when they get here you can bet they'll have reason to take me away. Needless to say I put the phone back and lived to see today LOL.

NO -- I'm glad to say that I haven't. I worry about what brought the dialing 911 on. What did she do to make you feel the need to dial 911?

Nope, but it sounds like Mom's got nads. What did you two do to get into such a terrible drama game? How pitiful!
For future reference: Only threaten to call 911 if your health and safety are in jeopardy. It doesn't sound like that was the case here.

Well I would do the same thing if you were my kid. You sound like you are an ungrateful brat threatening to call the cops. Remember this philosophy, She brought you into the world and she can take you out just as fast.

Not me but a friend... His mom was calling his bluff.... Don;t threaten, if you don't intend to follow through. Some people will force the issue.. like a parent and put you on the spot...

No, but I saw my teenage step-niece behave rudely & when her mom reprimanded her, the niece threatened to call DHR... her mom grabbed the phone, dialed the number & handed the phone to her.

Sounds like she's just had it and is not thinking rationally. My guess is that she wants not really for you to call the police, but rather, don't make idol threats.
I think a lot of children do that to their parents, my step-daughter did that to her father. He was like, fine you want to keep playing this game go for it this time.
