i'm only 15, but personally...i suggest not til thy're out of highschool..i know i'm only 15 myself but my parents let me date and i dated this guy for 10 months and i just keep getting my feelings hurtt and its tough on all my friends and family. and when you're 15 or whatever you're not sure about what you're looking for right now i find dating pointless until you're actually looking for a life partner, not just a temporary highschool boy who lies about everything..

In my opinion, I think 16 is the perfect age for dating. At that age, children are learning about life and experiences. At first I would start with going along on the first few dates (like going to the movies and sitting about three or four rows behind) or allow them to go to the mall. Don't hang out with them too closely. But be wise and aware. And most importantly get to know the boyfriend very well, along with his parents. This will help you along with trusting your daughter. Once upon a time I was sixteen and I wasn't allowed to date until I was in COLLEGE! I wish that I can have my teen years back with a little more slack, but I am appreciative that my parents didn't let me roam free on my own....no telling what type of trouble I would have been in. All in all, be a trusting mother (If your daughter has proven to be trustworthy) let her date but keep it supervised from a distance (of course let her know or she will feel as if you were spying)

Say about 16 and 1/2. That is my best guess.
I have a 15 YO daughter. I am very concerned about her being in a car with someone... I am concerned about the driving ability of a teen date.
So many of these guys obviously want to impress a girl with their driving. (Being in control of a car)
Also, I am concerned about the boy trying to be macho, since he has a 'date'. I will want to meet the parents of any boy my daughter goes out with, hopefully.
I allow my daughter to go to the local teen club, *football games and school dances, already. She is unescorted, but these activities are chaperoned.
*Games have plenty of adults present.
I hope this helps.
My son died as a result of a car accident: He was a passenger. A 17 YO boy was the driver.

It depends on her maturity level but at 15-16 a boy can come over and see her. No alone time for over a few min at a time.At 17 if you trust her and the boy let them go out but make sure she checks in with you periodically and comes home a a decent hour10-10:30 at the latest. You can either raise a lady or a whor-e. It is all up to you.

Let hers start as social dates. A group of girls going with a group of guys to like the mall or something simple. But I don't think they should pair off when younger.
Her age depends on her maturity level. And definitely how old the guy is. I don't think you would want a 13 year old going with a 18 year old.

if she's a responsible girl who can be trusted i think that 16 is a good age. However you should give her a reasonable curfew say 10:30-11
if she is responsible i think that 16 is a good age. however i think you should give her a reasonable curfew say 10:30-11:00? Lay out some ground rules, find out where they are going and who will be around them. These days, you can never ask to many questions.
