First off you should star young. The younger they the easyer to train. In my house I am the boss. What I says is law. I have set rules and chores in the house. I do not give and allowence but I do reward form time to time. I think with all kids you have to let them know who is in charge. You are the parent and are oblagated to provide for them. It is also your job to teach them how to live. That includes accepting responsabilty. Even thoughit is just chores that you want them to help with it plays a big role in teaching them responsability. Although you may not want to enforce that rules it is a must. If you choes not to go to work and got fired then the next job you have you know that you have to go in daliy. If you dont teach your kids that they have to do waht they are told no matter what it is they could be very likely to rebell aganst responsability.

Turn the T.V. off, establish rules and guidelines. Encourage chores for everyone in the household. I would say perhaps an allowance, but I whole-heartedly believe that an allowance should only be given if they go above and beyond the normal household chores. Everyone in the household should have chores, that's part of working together as a family. However, if they decide to do something extra beyond the chores (i.e. wash your car), reward them for it.

You are the parent not them. Lay down the law and stick to it. You can take away things like the computer or TV. Actually take part of it off and out of the house so they can't put it back together. Soon enough they will start helping out if they want there games and TV back.

Reward them if they do what you ask.If they are little, make a chart with different chores and when they do all chores for one day give them a sticker. At the end of the week if they have seven stickers get them a little gift or take them to the park. Something that they love. If they are older give them an allowance only after they do their chores.

Give them allowance. Stuff should be done on a regular anyway but until they get older allowance usually works.(And not alot like 5 a week if everything is done)
