My husbands brother recently got married and his wife has a girl who's about to turn 9. I don't know anything about her really, and I have asked the mom what she likes, but she doesn't really tell me much.. Does anyone know something general that preteen girls like?

Whenever i try to do my own thing she conveniently gets sick. I know its not real but I'm scared the minute i dont take her seriously it will be the real thing. How do I make her realize I'm not a child anymore?

I am having my 28th birthday party at my cousins night club. There is a dinner party portion from 8-10 for my older family members then the big all out with my friends and family my age afterwards. My mother won't attend because she says she's too old for clubs (48) but she goes to clubs with her friends when they have parties. We are not very close but I am her only child why won't she come?

Is feces harmful if swallowed.. and No IM NOT joking. I changed my nine month olds diaper a few minutes ago and gave the diaper to my daughter to throw away in the trash, somehow a bit of his poop dropped on the carpet. I had no idea, and I put my son down... Went to get him a bottle and when I came back to where he was sitting he had poo on his fingers and had put a small amount in his mouth... I wont go into all the nasty details but I dug what was left out and washed his mouth out the best that I could with a washrag...
I feel like such a terrible mother, I even gave him a bath to make sure there was nothing left on his fingers... What I need to know is Do you think it can be harmful to him and should I call or take him to the doctor.. Please Give Me Serious Answers...

2 and a half years ago I moved from maryland to ohio, leaving behind the love of my life to finish school. We never lost touch with each other but ventured into new relationships. We finally spent time together this past weekend and I realized what a big mistake it was to move. But I've now got a son and a great job. I want to spend the rest of my life with this man but am torn as to what to do. He can't of course come to ohio because he has his boys that he does not have full custody of and that would just move him to far away. This is my first big "adult" job, and I'm afraid stubility wise to just pick up and leave. But I love him and its killing me to be so far away. We've been visiting as often as we can but its no longer enough. Any advise?

Hey yall guess what me and my mom fight all the time and scence I got a new boyfriend she thinks that he is hers too. Everyone has tired and tried to get her to stop talking to him when he calls me, but guess what she wont. So again I say....HELP ME..... If I back talk her I can't see him anymore and I really love him...a lot...... what do I do. She even went to my school and told my princiable that shes worried about me and bull **** like that. Shes just mad cuz he dont wanna talk to her. And I mean I could figure this out myself if there wasnt one lil problem.....I CANT IGNORE HER..... She drives me up a wall when she talks. So please please please help meeeeeeeee.

My wife came home from work drunk yesterday, I was there with my girlfriend wilma and she burst in all mad. I told her to calm down and then wilma jumped out the back window of the trailor. while she was running she got her foot snagged in one of my wifes bear traps. I had to go get her out of it. I dont know why my wife keeps bear traps outside, she said somthing about her pet possum stinky, but i dont care.

So how to I get my wife to accept that wilma is apart of our lives. My wife is pregnant again, and so is wilma, but i think wilma will make better mother. I would rather be with wilma anyhow. So what do i do to keep my wife from flying into a rage and trying to hurt her? Shes already started trash talkin her at Walmart, where they are both employees. Wilma works in the gardening section but my wife is just a janitor. Wilma just bought me a computer, so its obvious she cares about me more then my wife does.

We are trying to get custody of my husbands 12 year old daughter. Her mother has been in involved in drugs and various other run-ins with the legal system. She has several possesion charges, theft and identity theft. She is never home and leaves the little girl alone for several hours without telling her how to get ahold of her. Her mother is verbally abusive and allows her boyfriend to be the same way to my step-daughter. My step-daughter spends all of her time in her bedroom so that she does not have to "deal" with her mothers boyfriend. This little girl is a straight A student, very active in sports and desperately wants to live with her Dad and I. She just started school and she found out that her mothers last drug charge (June 22,2006) was published in the local newspapers, she was embarassed and ashamed. All of her friends and parents are aware of her mothers drug history. What do you think the outcome will be????

When my brother first got married everything was good with his new wife, but now she has turned into a total "B" (if you know what I mean) She has been rude to my mother and my father and for no reason at all. We try to be nice to her but sometimes it's hard. She is really putting a wedge between my brother and the family. She no longer even attends family dinners. She tries not to have anything to do with us and my brother feels like he has to choose and I don't think he should.

Do you have any suggestions for getting to ease up and realize that our family is just as important as hers?
