and how close?like do you tell them every thing or do you not even talk to them?

As I get older (I'm 19) I find that I'm getting closer and closer with them. Perhaps its cause Im not doing as much that I feel I need to hide from them. I think everyone goes through the stage when they hate their parents and think that they are doing nothing but ruining ur lives lol but you get over that. As for how much I share. I would say about 80-90% Its great when you can tell them things, know that they trust and be able to seek their advice. However, their are some things that happens that are personal (aka really dont think I would be sharing love letters with the rents hahahah) and I feel are meant to be kept to myself

Actually not all that close I mean we can talk but I don't talk to them all that often since i don't live at home but even when i did there were to many of us to really have any quality time with my parents i have 12 brothers and one sister and im the oldest so there was always a baby to be taken care of not much time to sit around a talk if you know what I mean

I am not close to my parents and I always missed that. Now that I have two teen daughters I have a very close relationship with them and they do come to me and talk about everything. Sometimes I feel like falling off of my chair but I would rather they come to me with questions instead of strangers. I also try to remain calm and composed even if I do get a little upset.

I am very close to parents. Sometimes, I tell them everything. I love my parents. There like my best friends.

Yes, I'm close to my family...I tell my sister almost everything...but not my personal sex life. I am married so certain things are private but most big decisions and everything my parents and my sister know.

My siblings and I were ALL close to our parents -- but we unfortunately had to bury them as very young adults (they were older when they finally married (1st marriage for each) -- because WWII was the cause -- and our father was a Paraplegic Veteran of WWII).

im really close to my mom, and couldnt get anymore further from my dad than i am now. I talk to my mom about most things, but like most, i still keep things from her...but nothing bad.

Yes, emotionally and physically. How close? About 500 yards away and I could tell my dad anything. I usually tell my sister first though.

I wasn't close to my dad . I am kinda close to my mom. We talk , go shopping and I give her advice on her relationships. I don't tell her everything. Somethings you just gotta keep to yourself.

I am soooooooooooo close to my mom, I can talk to her about everything, I can share with her all the biggest secrets of my life, My mom is my addiction...I cannot live without her, infact she is the best mom of the world!!
