Family - September 2006

I have a boyfriend who moved away to California. He wants me to come live with him and I really want to but my controlling mom will freak out and have a heart attack and die. She has never been away from me and she gets upset even when i want to go out on a Saturday night. I am 34 years old and torn, I don't know what to do! I dont live with her I am a single parent. I think he should come back to be with me he thinks i should move where he is. He left here so i think he should come back. What do you think for 10pts!

A Sad Story About Adoption.....What do you think?
Does this sound real too you? Well I know a once young women in college who had a baby with her boyfriend and then the boyfriend died before the child was born.The women gave it up for adoption,but a relative in her family adopted the child.Explain your thoughts here please. The mother's side adopted the baby.The father died very sadly and unofrtuantley.The women's cousins adopted the baby from birth basically.And haven't even told her yet!
The women sees the girl only as a cousin though.If im not mistaken the child doesnt even know yet and shes 13 and the moms 30. i know this b/c im a friend of the girls. what do you think?

when i was 13 years old,i found out i was adopted.
i didn't relize it before,my real mom was 30 years old when i found it out.she told me in person b/c she was "supossedly" at the time my cousin but really was my mom.i am still related to the people that adopted me only its kinda vise versa. is it crazy at 13 to finally find out?

This boy I really like really likes me back..my mom won't let me see him because she doesn't like his step mother.....And i agree with her.Even the boy dislikes his step mom.But he has to live there with his dad..his real mom is no good either. mama says that who knows how he might be influenced by his stepmom.But i know for a fact that he is a good person and that he totally disaproves of the woman his dad married. He wants to date me..I told him I would think about it because I didn't want to hurt him by saying no or telling him that mama won't let me because she thinks he is not a good person.and also because I don't want to disobey my ma.I don't want to miss the oportunity but I can't keep him on hold much longer..we really like eachother but my ma won't hear me out...what to do??

With mine, we do what's called "Kiss kiss hug" I kiss on each cheek and a hug before tucking in. It's been like that since my first born 10 years ago.

OK MY SISTER HAS 4 GIRLS, ONES 6, ONES 3, AND THE OTHER BABY TWINS ARE 8 MONTHS. SHE CANT AFFORD ALL FOUR, THEY ONLY PLANNED 3 BUT THE LAST ONE ENDED UP BEING TWINS.

OUR PARENTS CANT TAKE ONE OF THEM BECAUSE MOM HAS 2 JOBS AND DAD IS ALWAYS OUT OF TOWN. SO THEY HAVE NO TIME TO RAISE THE GIRL.

NOW I HAVE PLENTY OF TIME AND MONEY TO RAISE ONE OF THEM BUT CAN MY SISTER GIVE ME CUSTODY OR 'SIGN SOMETHING' THAT MAKES ME THE LEGAL GUARDIAN?

my parents died just the other day and me and my brothers and sisters aren't taking it to well. I don't think any of us slept since that day. Anyway my youngest brother is to little to go through with this. He's so young. my 3 youngest brothers are to young to handle this. What do I do. My youngest brother won't talk to us. And we feel that if he talks gets to become with different people then he might talk more. He's to little to understand what happened to our parents. He won't accept the fact that their gone. He blames himself for them not being here. We tried to talk to him. But we can't get through to him. So maybe someone could talk to him for us. He's smart for his age. He knows how to use a computer and he just learned how to read and spell and all that. So if anyone could just be his friend, you'll be helping out alot, so thanks!

she always leaves on sundays and doesnt come back until like thurs. i am only 13 and i always have to take care of myself if i need help with my homework shes not their or if i need a paper signed for school ialways get Fs on it cuz shes not there to sign it. & i always have to make my own meals all day. & everything else. then when she comes home she yells at me for not doing my chores. shes never tthere to help me with important stuff so i dont feel like doing stuff around the house for her/ how can i talk to her about this. everytime i try to talk to her she doesnt take it seriously and makes jokes about it. is there a way i can let her kno wut shes doing w/o her joking about it?!

Ok, so my problem is that my mom is very strict... I cant hang out with my friends (I've only got to 2 times luckily) and I cant even choose what hair style I want because she thinks "it'll change me for ever"I always nicely discuss rules with her, but she always just tones me done and gets pissed.. :( Most of my days, im stuck in the house especially on weekends because my mom belives being by yourself is the best. She also doesnt like my friends, like for instance I have a friend named Cory, and one time we were hanging out and cory's friend comes along and brings a FAKE looking gun to show.My mom saw it and got pissed and thought Cory brought it... even though his friend admitted to her HE brought it. So nowadays she thinks Cory is a gangster even though he's a regular straight A student. So anywho how do I talk about things with a mom who's taking away my teenager years? :(

I am 34 years old, I was raised by my mother and father in a normal family. I also have a brother who is 33 and I just realized today that my mother or father neither one has ever told us that they loves us.I know they do but they have never said it.What brought it to my attention is that they tell my 10 year old daughter they love her all the time--only because she says it first. I've said it before and they looked at me like i fell off Mars or something. I get kind of jeaolous when I hear my friends parents telling them they love them in public, on the phone, where ever, am I wrong for feeling like this??
