My boyfriend is a crossdresser and he only does it when noone will be home or we go somewhere that he won't be recognized. He does seem to want to "come out" with this to his family and friends but is scared. I don't blame him. This sort of thing isn't very well received by most people. He knows that I love him regardless and that I think that if they are his friends, they won't care and his family should love him anyway. How do I help him be more comfortable with himself and tell or show people who he really is?

Well.. approx. 2 months ago (or so it seems) my ex girlfriend and i broke up. long story short, it was a fiery, painful, bitter experience. and i admit i'm not really over it... ...the question is... my brother talks to her occasionally.. and it really makes me uncomfortable. is it wrong for me to request that my brother doesn't talk to her? or is it "socially" acceptable.

My brother has a girlfriend that he is stone in love with. She's his first real girlfriend and his first sexual experience. The only problem is she's a total skank. I know for a fact she's messing around with other guys. I want to tell my brother to leave her alone because she's a you-know-what, but I don't want him to get mad at me and have a strain on our relationship. Help?

My sister refuses to work, she says that she is going to be a stay at home mom and there is no need for her to work. She is spent a lot of money on college, and took out loans, but does not even want to get a job after college. She says that her husband when she gets married will pay off her loans. I don't even get why she is in college if ALL she wants to do is be a stay at home mom, seeing that is something you can do without even a high school diploma. She does not even have a husband and makes her boyfriend pay for everything and constantly asks me for money. She said that some of her friends are stay at home moms and housewives. I have told her what a mindless, boring job it is, but she still won't get a job. Housewives leech off thier husbands and just sit around all day. What do I do?

She'll be 13 12/31. She is very responsible, gets excellent grades and hardly ever asks for anything. The style is timeless, so she could wear it forever. I can afford it, but am not sure if that's too much $ to spend on someone her age.

Growing up with my father was very stressful. He was very strict and not always friendly. It was either up or down with me. He convinced my mother who would never speak out to him that I was having sex and other things when I wasn’t and they continued to look at me in this light for years. He refused to help pay for college and tried to kick me out several times before I was 18. Our last disagreement was when I realized I was too old to deal with this and I didn’t have to anymore so I stopped talking to him. He told my mother, sister, and brother that they weren’t allowed to talk to me and they listened for awhile and then eventually started talking to me. It’s been 3 years and I half-heartedly attempted to reconcile but I could tell by his tone that he was not interested at all. Because of this, my mother and I barely talk unless I call her. She thinks I should try to fix things with him and my sister and I have an up and down relationship. She was “Daddy’s little girl”. I don’t know what to do. I don’t want another Holiday to go by without seeing my family but I wonder if things are too damaged to fix alone….help.

When I'm sick I still take care of the kids, do the housework, cook the meals, and take care of anyone else in the house who might be sick. And work. But when my husband gets sick it's like the world has to stop spinning. Why is this?

2006-09-06 06:17:01 · 11 answers · asked by Anonymous

It started innocently enough. I'd go over to his house and we'd all play Xbox and drink and just have a good time. His wife was smoking hot, a bit stupid, but a good girl and it was obvious that she wanted me as much as I wanted her, kinda like in that movie "MatchPoint".

Anyway, he left...he's in the army and got shipped to fight some war that's going on...and I promised him I'd help take care of his house by doing maintenance on his house and making sure that his wife was taken care of. My god, I even told him that I would make sure she was staying faithful to him.

Anyway, she called me up one day because the security system at the house was going off...she had been locked out and actually broke a window to get back in. Like I said, she's not very bright. But anyway, the security system was going off so I came over and got it to turn off finally. It wasn't hooked into the police call center so no one came by to check. But anyway I helped replace the window.

I'm 14 years old and I think my mom is being unfair. We were eating dinner and I started laughing at my brother because he has a lot of zits. My mom said that was immature, and I should be in diapers if I act like I'm 2. That made me laugh even more. So today my mom put me in a disposable diaper. Does anyone else think this is unfair?

Hello,

My name is Bonnie Schindler and I am a journalist with
a publication that strives to nurture mother and daughter
relationships, while empowering women.

This issue’s assignment is to get a few conversation
tips for those who are small-talk challenged.

1. Do you believe that there are difficulties
associated with small talk between mother and
daughters?

2. If you were to advise a mother or daughter as to
how to have a small-talk conversation, what would you
suggest?

3. Does your advice change if the mother and daughter
have a stressed relationship due to issues such as
obedience, school performance, drugs or alcohol abuse,
etc?

4. Is it better to wait until another time if one
receives a one-word answer, such as “no,” “yes,” “I
don’t know?”

5. What are some sure-fire topics that get any
conversation going?

6. What skills are most important during small talk?

Please provide your full name to me (you can email it to bonnieschindler@yahoo.com)

I am at a complete loss on what to get for my husband's parents. They are both retired and go on trips a lot. We gave them a gift certificate through the travel agency for Christmas towards a trip, so I don't want to do that again. They have been married for 40 years, so they don't need anything for the house. I thought about a gift certificate for groceries; however, they aren't home much and eat out a lot. I want to get out of giving gift certificates. Any ideas?? I'm going shopping today.

Ok here's my problem but please don't make fun of it, I know some of you might think it's no big deal and I know there are bigger problems in life but my problem is my name

I am foreign(girl), my name is Assma , well on the passport it's written Asma because in french it will be pronounced Assma

Anyway..

Even when I SAY IT : "my name is aSSma" and insist on the letter s, people have embarassing reactions :( Some are themselves embarassed they're like "could you repeat that?" or " AzzMA" ? And that's what kills me it sooo sounds like aZZZZma you know the desease ..and (I know this is funny and stupid) even when I insist on the letter s or write it as ASSma instead of asma it sounds to me like ***..

Many people laugh out when they hear my name, this especially happens in school , the first days when teachers call out names.. I swear to my God I'd be shaking and nervous:(

What do you think of my name?
Should I change it(what can I change it to?)or learn to live wth it?

Im a single mom of a 15 year old daughter, and I have a job offer that I would have to work a graveyard shift (11pm to 7am) Any opinions to whether shes to young to leave all night alone without any supervision? Shes a real good kid that I totally trust. Shes not the type to sneak out and cat around all night or anything. What do you think? I have pros and cons about it.
