My cousin is having a baby and can't decide on a name. Her and the father like the name Aiden but now they hear a lot of people have kids with that name and want their child to be somewhat origional. My cousin loves the name Lucas but her husband doesn't like it. So here we are searching for boy names... HELP! Any suggestions? OR ideas for places to look?

We moved from Hawaii a year ago and my eight year old daughter enrolled in private school. The school has a strict dress code and requires girls to wear dress shoes (patent mary janes or penny loafers). My daughter's teacher tells me she's constantly taking her shoes off in class. My daughter says the shoes cramp her feet, but I double checked the shoes and they're the right size. I think she's just not used to wearing dress shoes, after being barefoot most of the time in Hawaii. How can I get my daughter used to dress shoes?

I am trying to help my mom clean her house up. Every time I try to do this, she always says that I remind her of someone that is going threw stuff just to see what is there. I have tried several times to tell her that is not what I am there for. I am just trying to help her clean it up and that I could care less as to what she has. I know that she has some stuff hid. But what can do or say to make her understand that all I want to do is help her clean it up. We are going to be putting in a hospital bed in for dad, in the living room. We have to get it cleaned up for this. She really can't do all this her self as she had a stroke and is partly paralized. She is always right there when I am cleaning, no way around that. But the way she says it, ends up making me feel like I am snooping and I'm not. I don't want to hurt her feels either. She is 72 and dad is 83. She does want the place cleaned up. Can anybody give me any ideals of how to handle this problem.

We are looking to take the kids on an outing today. We were thinking the African Lion Safari, but the tickets are $$$$. Anyone know a good place for a family of four to go on a beautiful Sunday afternoon? Something that is more "kid friendly" for ages closer to our children .We live in south western ontario, near Woodstock. Thanks!!

He's more of a doer and my kids and I are more laid back. My sons are 17 and 19. I'm not saying they're perfect, as they are kinda messy around the house, not cleaning up after themselves, leave things unfinished, that sort of thing. I know it's not right. But my husband gets very sarcastic and insulting with them. He has two grown sons and I asked him if he got sarcastic with them and he said yes, sometimes it's the only way to get the message across. I guess my question is, isn't there a difference between getting sarcastic with your own sons and with your step-sons?

there is a certain someone in my life who seems to dislike me for no reason at all. i havent done anything to this person. this particular person is 31 years old and pouts and wines over stuff so much, you would think their age was 12. this person is also scared of me (i know this because this person never says anything up front to me about their problems with me) so i ask you people, how do you get along with someone like this? I dont want to fight them because this person is a cousin of mine.

About 4 years ago, My only child (18yo then) was seeing a guy(21yo then). She lives with him now. At the time, he was driving my daughter around with no driver's licence, the car was not registered to be driven and the car had not been checked by an authorised car mechanic for roadworthiness. I was upset with both of them for endangering their own lives and the lives of others. I located this car and let the air out of the tyres. My daughter rang me saying she knew I had done this and it was a terrible thing to do to her b/f's car. She said she would never speak to me again. I rang her dad for advice/support. He told me if he becomes involved, that this is not what his daughter would want him to do. I know I could have minded my own business but she is my daughter and I was just concerned for her welfare. It was either doing what I did or looking at her headstone in the cemetary.
