I am a Moderator on a website that answers alot of questions for HUD tenants and people just searching for Section 8 housing. As far as I know if your husband is over 21 he will need his own Housing Voucher. Yes you will have to go throught he whole process but since he was already on your Father-in-laws voucher, it shouldn't be to hard. They already have most of his info, he will need to add you and your children. Visit http://www.Section8HudHomes.com website and you should find more info and resources. I hope I answered your question.

He can get his own Sect. 8 voucher but will probably have to qualify again on your own. Your husbands father's voucher isn't supposed to include him after he is married. Most jurisdictions will speed up the process if he has a good history of not abusing the sect. 8 rules. Go for it, and good luck
