Why would it be bad?
There's no apparent reason
He won't leave you just because of that if you are sure he's the one

there's nothing wrong if you're a few years older....
if you love one another, no one would care if you're older.
but if he leaves you just because of that, it means he doesn't love you that much
I heard somewhere that you could compute for the age limit of your partner as compared to your age
you multiply your age by 2
then subtract 3 from the result
the number you get is the age limit of a partner you could possibly get at your age
for example:
I'm 21 yrs. old
multiplied by 2, that's 42
subtract 3 from that and I get 39
I can have a boyfriend who's younger than me or older, but only up to a 39 year old man. Anything beyond that is just creepy

I'm 4 years older than mine, and if he gave that excuse, it is just that an excuse because he knew the age difference to start with, and it didn't bother him then. I would just go on down the road to find someone that did really care about me. The only exception to this rule would be if one of us happened to be under the legal age (18) then I would wait and see what happened.

2 years isnt anything. Dont worry about it. If he leaves you because of that he is the immature one. Find an adult. m

My parents are 7 years apart. My MOM is the older one. Make him explain his reasons- maybe it's not the age!

it is definitely NOT bad to be older than your guy...i'm 4 1/2 yrs older than my hubby and let me tell you, i wish i'd started dating younger guys sooner than i did (altho if i did, i might not have met him...btw, he's much more responsible than the older men i was dating)...i was dating older men and it was NOT working...then i met my husband, and i would never get involved with older men again....my sister's fiance is also younger than her (3 yrs)...my best friends husband is 2 yrs younger than her...see the trend??? : )
