My daughter is 9 yo and up until my son was born 14 months ago it was just her and me. She seems to be very jealous of him recently. Even acting like a baby at times. I have tried setting aside time every day for just her and me where we can talk about her day and do each others hair...things like that. I am very aware of the time I am spending with each child but since my son is walking and into everything he does get more of my attention right now. If you've been in this situation, please give me some ideas to help my daughter not be so jealous and act her age. I hate to see her upset like she is. Thanks you.

I babysit for her a lot! she has a one year old and three year old. my kids are 15, 7 and 6. I rarely ask her to babysit for me besides 3 times in the last year, she gave my two youngest rides home from school. She called me a bunch of names (bad ones) and said I was selfish. I did have dr. appts the day she asked, no advance notice was given. now she won't speak to me. should i just let it go? she is quite an unpleasant person who has very few friends. she thinks our "family" relationship binds me to doing her favors at a moments notice.

OK one of my sisters had a type of killign cancer but survive and now has down syndrum. about two years ago my other sister died at a home accedent. Now my dad has brain cancer and is subost to die in 1 to 2 years. Is my life faair or should i be a happy little girl?

His wife gave up custody to his mother, and his mom shuffled out the time to him, which was once a week, for two hours. He questioned this, and the mom stopped bringing his daughter, all together. In the meantime he cried on her birthday, because the mom refused to let him see her. His mother then, filed for custody. Now him, and his father is on good terms, and he found out that his father had his daughter on her birthday, and now his father shuffles out time for him to spend with his own daughter. Although, his father says that he don't want to be in the middle of the court battle between him, and his mother. I say that the father should let him spend a couple of hours with her, alone. I also say that the dad, has indeed, made himself apart of the court battle, and he should ball out his dad. It is like, they wont let him be apart of her life! I am angry at the fact that there are many men, who don't want to be apart of their children's life, and here it is, a father can't.

I have been having trobule with my parents lately. Yesterday I went out and my step dad went out to a party. I left my bike outside by accident and when i got home he started to B itch at me.So i bitched back at him.He likes to drink beer so I asked him what were you doing all day drinking beer. I tried to walk away but that did not work. Today my mom was picking favs. again well she does it all the time. Well i got yelled at by her for no reason. I tried to talk to her but that only worked for a few days. Anytime my brother wants somthing he always gets it. Whenever I want something the answer always is we'll see. Soemtimes I just need to get out of the house to cool down. Sometimes it gets me soo mad I just want to run away. It feels like i don't exist and only my brother exists cuz he gets all the attention. When I try to tell my parents something they just ignore it. Later on when the thing i say comes true I say see i told you but guess what they do?? They just ignore me.

My younger sister is 10 years old, and honestly a really mean person (I'm not saying this because of some dumb sibling thing). She says horrible things about our grandmother who does SO much for our entire family, and who my sister used to follow around like a puppy, until she had a sudden change of heart. She constantly disobeys my parents and they always back down and don't follow through when they threaten to punish her. She can basically get away with anything, and she knows it, and she knows & enjoys the fact that she is mean to our entire family. I know she has a good heart deep down, but lately she has just been out of control. There haven't been any changes in her lifestyle so I don't think that would be it. I'm just getting so sick of having to deal with her.

About the Dad...Married too you, had a child too young, got divorced, was too busy chasing girls and whooping it up at the bar. Moved her around from school to school moving in with girlfriends, etc. Forgot birthdays, took ex's side when he shouldn't have, was completely disinterested basically. Even left her screaming at Uncle's house for a YEAR only saw her on some weekends. Now...daughter is 17 and has no confidence, no personality, no drive, no regard for appearance, way overweight, will be damn lucky to graduate high school and is academically illiterate. Oblivious Dad got a little older and now sees the effects of his IGNORNACE. Mom took off when she was 3 and is a useless ex-skank. Any suggestions to help the girl or advice to the Dad on what he can do?
