I guess wherever there's freedom of speech there's retards putting others down, right! Sometimes even their own.

There does seem to be a lot of anger in Q&A and in the rest of the world too. But there seems to be a lot of caring people here too, who enjoy the site and enjoy trying to help others.
I just try to ignore the anger and read the good stuff.

Not just in the answers, either. Some of the questions are pretty heated, too.
It's hard for me to imagine a person with that much anger sitting still and typing away at their keyboard. But like the person above me said, whatever the reason for all the anger, better they're here venting than out in public hurting someone.
Me, I'm just taking breaks between working on the coming year's curriculum. So, I ignore the trollish answers, and if I have 2 cents worth of thought for a particular troll's questions, I go ahead and try for a sensible or humorous answer.
Even I have my "troll" days. Just not here on Yahoo Q&A.
One little note: I've noticed that some categories attract angry answerers more than others. I just hope the askers have thick enough skin to blow them off.

Haven't you noticed that our world is very angry right now? I usually ignore those who are hateful and purposely hurtful on this website. I think sometimes they feel inferior and that's the only way they know to deal with their own insecurities. On the other hand, I suppose it's better if they vent their anger and hatred on this site than to get a gun and go out shooting people like some are doing.
