I started dating my bf 4 months ago and now he lives with me. my parents met him a while ago and my dad refused to talk to him. my mom acted all nice, but then said bad things about him behind his back, like how I would end up paying for his baby son's food and clothes , how he probably has a woman in every country he's ever been to, etc and was I with him as an assignment for the government? (as if i would whore myself out for a job (um. a job that i don't have!!! or want!). Recently we asked them for a favor that would save us $1500/year and they said no (basically because they didn't want to be associated with a Muslim) We are in love and we want to get married in a couple years, but they are pretty much refusing to accept him, like they only invite ME to visit etc. I don't want to believe that they are being racist or stereotyping him because he' s Muslim, but their actions are speaking really loudly. I don't want to choose between them or him, what to do?

My Dad is worth a lot of money, he is a financial adviser and has been for some years, him and my Mum split up about 5 years ago now and my Dad has just turned 60.
I have only recently found out that he is living with his new girlfriend who he hasn’t been seeing for that long but says he has known her for about 5 or 6 years.
She is in the same line of business as my Dad so she is anything but hard up money wise, however the issue I have with this is that she is 23 years younger then my Dad, and I’m really worried that she is only there for the money.
As I said, she has money of her own, but my Dad is worth a lot more then her(and most others), should I be worried and say something to him, or just let him be?

My 16 yr stepdaughter wants to be emancipated. She is a constant runaway, she refuses to deal with the consquences when she gets in trouble. Drinking, Smoking, Curfew, Stealing, Suspensions, etc. She has been on the run for 2 weeks now living with Spanish speaking ppl, (she speaks english only) her bio mother is supporting her 2 be emancipated. (she can't go back and live with mom, cause of her influences on her baby sisters) My husband is against her being emancipated and says she needs to come back here and carry out her concequences. But she refuses. What is to be expected in court and what do Santa Clara County Judges look for when deciding these cases. What will he say?

BTW, She doesnt have a job yet. But I guess is looking.

Help, my daughter started college last week and now wants to drop out due to the expense of daycare. I have offered to pay for daycare for my grandaughter but she wont accept the money from me, she says its too much. she was so excited last week when classes started, i dont know what went wrong. Its like she comes up with a million issues why she cant go to school. Maybe she just dosent want to go right now, i dont know. Im proud of her no matter what she does, but if she would just let me pay for daycare, she would have one less thing to worry about. Sometimes i think i try to solve all of her problems, when i really shouldnt. she is a great mother and wife, but she does need an education.

Ok heres the deal tell me what you think. My husband and I have been married 12 yrs. My sister in law just had a baby. They asked my husband and one of their friend to baptize the baby. While in the least it doesnt bother me my husband doesnt think its right being that we are married. I told him that its an honor they asked him he should not deney to do it. He feels them leaving me out is not a good thing. What do you all think? Was it right for them to ask him only even though we are all close or is he right in thinking they really dont consider me in being as close as we think?

My 50 something yr. old uncle got full custody of his 18 month old daughter. The mother signed over all her rights. He drives a truck for a living. I keep her while he's gone. Hre only comes in and sees her for a day or two each week. One time it was only for 3 hours. I have two boys already and she hears them call me momma so she has started to also. Is that appropriate? Oh and I have rights to her. If something happens to him, I get full custody.

We have been supporting my mother for three years and the money is getting tighter. One solution is to have her live with us. We would like to know from others the pit falls and pluses.

My 10 year old son is on a roll with lying. I don't know what else to do to get him to stop!

I have grounded, punished and sat down and talked to him. I'm worried if he keeps this up, he will never stop.

She is 67 and fighting a battle with colon and liver cancer. It started 2 years ago when she lost a lot of weight for no reason. She didn't go to the hospital until this year, in April and she has been there ever since. She's had 2 colon surgeries but now all her fluids are backing up into her stomach. She is now in ICU and it doesn't look good - yet she is still trying to fight. They haven't even begun to deal with her liver yet and it's stage 4 cancer and all they can give her is chemo. I've known her son 3 years and we've been married nearly a year. He is an amazing person who I love dearly and hate seeing him go through this right now. I also love my mother in law but it's so hard to see her in pain, looking miserable. Please pray for her. I don't know what else to do but pray.

Before I get married with my girlfriend, I want to spend my last time together with my little sister... my only blood realtive left after my parent passed away. It would be a date or kind of that.

I love here, truly love her and before I leave her once and for all for my soulmate, I want to make a sweet memory for just the two of us... as a brother toward to his lovely sister.

What do you all suggest then? By the way, I'm 20, she's 19, and we're very closed each other (nothing's kinky here... we're just closer than ordinary brother and sister, that's all!). I always watch her back, and she watches mine...
