She is 67 and fighting a battle with colon and liver cancer. It started 2 years ago when she lost a lot of weight for no reason. She didn't go to the hospital until this year, in April and she has been there ever since. She's had 2 colon surgeries but now all her fluids are backing up into her stomach. She is now in ICU and it doesn't look good - yet she is still trying to fight. They haven't even begun to deal with her liver yet and it's stage 4 cancer and all they can give her is chemo. I've known her son 3 years and we've been married nearly a year. He is an amazing person who I love dearly and hate seeing him go through this right now. I also love my mother in law but it's so hard to see her in pain, looking miserable. Please pray for her. I don't know what else to do but pray.

Sometimes acceptance is the "answer" to prayers. This lady has fought enough and seems to still be fighting. If she can be forgiven for "giving" up then those around her should give her up. I believe my father - who has "passed on" had the right answer - "come see me while I'm still alive" (I did, by the way), he used to say! You folks have been with her through all this, as long as she knows this, I believe that everyone will be "okay" with whatever has to happen. She is blessed for all those who care for her!!!

First of all, i would like to say you are doing the right thing, the best thing and infact the only thing that can make a difference in this situation.

My prayer for her.

Lord Jesus, please heal her because we know that by faith all things are possible to them that believe. Comfort her, strenghten her, give her peace and by your special grace make her come to you in true repentance, and may her testimony win souls for you and bring people to serve you. Amen!

I suggest you talk to her about Jesus, if you dont feel you can, get pastor or a priest to do so.

Say these prayers in faith with your husband. The Lord's prayer and the Grace.!

It is well in the name of JESUS! Amen!

Lord,

Thank you for being such a good Father to all of us. You know precisely what is going on with this woman--you created every cell in her body. We come to you this morning asking for your help. I pray that you will heal this woman and bring this entire family the relief and comfort they are seeking. Let your presence be known throughout this situation in a way that all who see know it was You. Thank you for being a God who hears, and answers. We love you.

Amen

I'll keep praying--gracecaptive@yahoo.com if you need anything...

I'm so sorry for your mother in law's condition. She'll stay in my thoughts and prayers. In the meanwhile, stay strong for your husband. Your support is really important to him right now, and I'm glad that you are there for him.
