"Very carefully"! Actually, I don't know. I know that under normal circumstances, (in the "air" - as we know it) paper will disintergrate, eventually (this takes a very, very, very long time, but it does happen)! I have "seen" this actually happening to some newspapers from the early 1800's (I am an amateur genealogist). Therefore, keep it away from the "air", in some kind of vacuum. However, you could contact your local library, or, otherwise, a place where rare and unusual books are kept and find out how they store theirs and you will know.

I forgot the name of the thing, but you place the bible in a plastic type bag, it sucks all the air out of a plastic bag and seals it. This will protect it from the elements, and insects.

Old books like to live where people do. Not to hot, not to cold, not to humid, not to dry. Don't put it in the attic or the cellar. Don't put it where children can get their hands on it. Wrapped in acid free paper and placed in a box in your bedroom closet might be an idea. For free expert advice ask your local librarian- its their field of expertise after all.

how old is old - and how high is the sentimental value for you - that will be most important.
There are several possibilities.
- safety deposits in banks and e.g. Harrods used to have safety deposits
- you could have your own safe installed in your house
- you could lend it to a library or museum - and the library or museum will take care of the storage and protection

What a blessing. I would want to display it. How about those glass display cases ladies put a treasured doll in?
