So I've moved back to the town where I grew up (why is irrellevant). I'm in my mid-20's. It's a very small town, and there aren't a lot of single people here in my age range (23-35). The few who stayed around here are the ones who think it's cool to go out, get drunk, and either shoot things or set them on fire. So lately I've been lacking when it comes to social interaction with my peers in a non-work environment. My best friend is married with 2 kids.
Since I've come back, I've run into an old classmate of mine. We chat for a few minutes, but I'm usually working so we can't talk long. Very recently, he asked me if I'd like to go out with him and I agreed. I don't really have any romantic inclinations toward him, but I really want the social interaction with a peer. Is this a bad reason to go out with him?
