My hubby and I brought home his nephew to live with us. He's a very good kid. The only problem is that he eats with his mouth open and makes a lot of noise when he eats. I want to talk to him about it. Just don't know how to tell him with out hurting his feelings. ( He's 13 )

If you do not feel comfortable with telling him as I am sure he wont either, being at age 13 everything is embarressing. I would have your husband talk to him man to man. He could tell him that it is unattractive especially to the ladies lol. He could make it a lot easier than you, so then there wont be any weirdness, it could just be "boy talk."

He is just at the ages where he is starting to recognize girls.
Tell him that he will fare better with the ladies if he uses good table manners... and show him the proper use of each implement, the napkin, how to seat a lady by holding her chair and scooting it in for her... and of course, how to chew correctly.
After this kind of coaching, try taking him to a nice restaurant.

Be honest because he may not be aware of it himself.
