I see on here often that a girl is engaged with no date set. Now my grandparents say if you don't have a ring and you don't have a date, you just have pillow talk and you aren't engaged. I heard a similar statement on a judge show recently. You don't have a date you aren't engaged to be married. I am not sure what I think about this. I mean, obviously if there is a reason--like still in college and when I graduate we will set a date, it would be hard to know until your last semester. I mean things happen and you may need another class to graduate. Or you are focused on passing the bar and don't have time to plan a wedding, when you need to set a career in place. But in general I think those that are engaged 4 or more years with no date are living in denial. I mean he didn't set a date b/c he wants an escape route. And definitely no ring is no commitment.

What do you think? No date set for a wedding. Are you really engaged? Is there a hard and fast rule?

If your man (or lesbo partner) said that they liked your big rear end. Would you be mad because they think you have a hippopotamus butt or be happy that they look past that and love you despite what idiots on tv think about what are "proper" looks?

when i look at 360 profiles i often see that women calling themselves sexy, beautiful with revealing pics. also when you see the names on YA, like sexymom or hotwife. you never see this in guys, prettydude or maybe richguy (to show of money?) seems like guys dont need to label themselves like that as if they have nothing else to offer. i always find it so silly when women do this as if they have low self-esteem and only get attention that way. to me that has nothing to do with being confident, because thats something you dont need to put on your forehead. anyone else feel that way about the profiles?

Ok, so up until a day ago, I had every intention to marry my British fiance in England on Oct. 3rd. After talking to a mutual family friend, I realized that since I'll also be living in the UK, having the wedding there might seem like I'm trying to cut my family out of our lives. My fiance and I were thinking about having two ceremonies- One in the USA, and one in the UK. The only problem is all the legal stuff that goes with it. Is it possible just to have a wedidng ceremony in the US without having a marriage certificate? Will we need to get my fiance some sort of visa if the first wedding ceremony is in the US? Or can we go ahead and have the ceremony there without having a legal ceremony, and then have the actual wedding in the UK a few months later, where we'll actually have it certified and legitimate? I know it's a confusing questions, but any input would be greatly appreciated...Thanks so much.

Recently, I decided that I am repaying everyone in my life for everything that they have done for me, but the one person that I can't think of what to do for is my boyfriend. We have only been together for 3 weeks but he has done so much for me before we started going out. What would be something nice to do for him? Thanks a bunch!

What is the typical way the costs for a wedding are divided up? I'm sure they could be divided up in any given way, but what is the general "rule of thumb?"

- Like, the bride & groom pay for what?
- The bride's family pay for what or contribute how much? The groom's family?
- Does the bridal party pay for their own dresses & tux rental?
- Who pays for the flower girl's dress?

Etc.

If there is a website (OTHER THAN THEKNOT*) that gives info on this, please let me know.

*I've been using theknot & having a hard time with it; plus, the layout for their pages makes it very difficult to find things. I'd rather just stay away from it.

ok these are rubber band type rings (a rubber band might actually work) that are worn on the base. sometimes they are used by men with ED. they help keep blood from escaping and help maintain an erection. I have no problem with ED as I'm young and healthy but I noticed when using one, I do get noticeably fuller. Just curious if any women have been with a man that used one and if you noticed a difference or noticed it feeling fuller. thanks.

I'm not a very insecure person so I'm a bit of a realist on the topic but why is it that when a gf/wife catches us looking at woman who's better looking than her we are dogs and the girl is 'probably a *****', but when the situation is reversed and a guy says 'at least be descrite about it' , suddendly we get a feminist speach about being controling and supressing a womans sexuality or "excuse me.. first off.. I look at what the f*ck I want to look at, do you see me f*cking him?"

I think it's wrong on both sides to do it blatanely in front of your partner but I'm getting the impression guys aren't allowed to complain or correct anything a woman does without being of accused of being controling

My ex is an extrememly hateful person. I have never dated someone so terrible in my life. We have a 7 month old baby together. We have been split up for about 6 months and he already has a live in gf who has 2 kids. He does not pay support, he lies to me, refuses to pay support, and knowing the back stabbing 2 faced person he is I am scared of what he might do next. I have a fear that he is going to try and get custody just to avoid paying support. I dont really think he can accomplish winning, but he is a snake and nothing he does suprises me. I dont know his new gf but I know him and I know both of them have called the police on my telling lies to try and get me arrested. I hate those people and would like to know how I can find out what they are up to without doing it illegally.

was dating this girl for a few months. everything was going good and seemed like we both wanted to continue getting to know each other. became intimate a bit early in our dating. then an accident happened. the condom slipped. we immediately got plan b. after she seemed fine with what had happened. she even was affectionate and wanted to be intimate again later that day. she seemed fine, then became distant after a few days. i asked her about it. she said shes trying to figure things out. that what happened brought back feelings and emotions from the past. that instead of a long drawn out talk she thinks its best if we just don't say anymore. i tried to talk about this again a few days later. she said she didnt want to talk. she said basically she got her friend and was moving on. what the happened here? she had an abortion from a previous bad relationship. could this have been the emotional issues from the past?why would she not want my support or never want to talk to me again?

Here's my situation: My girlfriend and i recently got engaged and its a big deal because we are both only children in huge families. Her parents of course are paying for the hall and the church and the other traditional expenses that the brides parents pay for. My parents are paying for the rehearsal dinner and a few hotel rooms for out-of town guests. The problem were having is that her father is dipping into his retirement fund and her mom got a second job to fund this wedding while my parents are sitting back only having to fork out a few hundred dollars for the rehearsal dinner. They arent helping pay for the wedding, they arent paying for the honeymoon and this is SOOOOO not like my parents to just skip out on helping such a huge event in their lives too. My fiancee is now very hurt and heart broken that they arent helping and its causing her to not even want to do the wedding anymore. What do i do???...i'm just so torn : ( Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!!

Ok, well my fiance and I have been engaged since February of 2007, and well I want to get married within a year or two (AT MOST). He wants to wait until we are both completely established economically (he won't start working until next August, and I'm still attending University). But that could take up to 5 years at least with our standards of what "economically stable" means? So what should I do just wait or push for the big day?

We have an argument in car two days ago....I got mad and didn't talk with him. I still prepared the dinner, the lunch and everything just didn't want to talk. But...he seems normal...watch TV..papers...yard work..etc. After two days...we didn't talk still. I don't want to be the first one to start the talk. I'm confused...angry...and upset. What should I do?

I'm 20 and I don't want to be in a relationship. I'm focusing on school right now...and then after I graduate I'll be focusing on my career. Causal sex is still fine, though :D

Maybe when I'm like 34 or so I might commit, but definitely not anytime soon. All the girls I know want commitment. Maybe it's because I'm a guy, or is it just a double standard that it's okay for guys to not want commitment?
