I am a Boy Scout and in my school people make fun of me all the time because of it. My dad said that people liked the Boy Scout organization back when he was a kid. I hate how people tease me because of it and I just want to know why. We're not all nerds. True there are some nerd Boy Scouts, but there are some normal ones also.

I'm looking for a boyfriend, but I'm definitely not desperate (and nothing online--don't even try!) I'm 18 and I mean this in a non-cocky way: I've got a really good body (skinny but curvy), a wild boyish sense of humor, and I'm really smart yet goofy. Sometimes I feel like the girls who end up with boyfriends are the really mousy, boring ones. Should I downplay the dirty jokes I make/laugh at and be less clever, show off my body less? I honestly feel like the reason I dont have a boyfriend is because I act like a boy who looks like a really girly girl!

They think independence means using your husband/boyfriend to work hard so that he spend most of it on them, while they get bored and fat and cheat on him. Or does independence mean that they are allowed to treat their guys like sh!t, be rude and disrespect them? Do they think that being able to have a career means total abandoment of their responsibilities as a mother and a wife? Do they think they are entitled to have the perfect lifestyle, that their husband MUST provide or otherwise he is not worthy of being a husband? Why are they so bitter? They have taken the "feminist" mindest to the extreme, and now consciously hate men and think it is okay to use them.

P.S. - Before the usual responses come let me just say that I wasnt dumped or had a ba relationship I am just curious to hear the opinion of american women and see what they have to say for themselves. This thread describes western women as well.

me and my boyfriend broke up 2 yrs ago, this past summer we decied to be friends again. I am confused, there are moments when he picks around and filrts with me and then there are days that he doesn't want anything to do with me at all, i of course think it is something i have said or done and he tells me it's not. We stopped talking for about a month and now were talking again, he of course is firlting with me more than ever, does that mean he still wants to somehow be involved with me, please help me!

I am 14 (just turned 14 a month after school started) and I met this guy a week before school started at a theme park 6 hours away from where I live. He lives in the same state as the theme park, but 2 hours away from it.

He is turning 13 this month.

I am 5'2 and 100 pounds. He is 5'6 and 99 pounds.

He lives 6 hours away from me, but is going to visit. Then we are going to go back to the theme park over summer and meet him again there.

We talk on the phone EVERY day. Along with my sister, who is 2 years younger than me (12). That means he'll be 13, Im 14, my sister is 12. We all talk on the phone at the same time (my sister picks up another phone in the house)

Is that weird? Should I go out with him? We both like each other..

Ok I initiated a split between me and my ex wife a few months ago, and at the time she was quite upset, and then a few weeks ago she asked me if was definatley over, and I knew at thta moment that if I said no, she would cheat again!

I am now single with our 2 adopted children and not sure where to turn for support! people tell me I will find some1 else but I'm too tired from working full time and careing for my kids, I just don't think I can do anymore.

But I am feeling so very low right now, I know I was right to end my marriage, but it hurts to realise how little I meant to my ex

So all I'm asking really is for a hug :)

this just hit me...
my friend nd her ex boyfriend have been broken up for almost a year (january). nd i've been talking to him since I think March or something...and I just realized. Am I not supposed to talk to a good friends ex? I'm not flirting or anything but he's a nice person nd he gives me a lot of advice nd stuff. I mean we don't like each other romantically...

My boyfriend is always writing questions on here with half truth and I read all the remarks which really hurt my feelings. Anyways we've only been together about 8 months. About 2 months ago I found out I was pregnant. He tripped out denying it was his and I spent everyday and night with him. I ended up loosing the baby needless to say and I'm very upset about it. I tell him he cant hang out with his friends cause when he does he never comes home or he comes back blitzed out of his mind.If he had decent friends it would be no problem. For instance I went and picked him up one day he had taken 29 pills attempting to kill himself. I had to give him cpr and not to forget my 2 year old son was there scared to death. I ask him for his passwords online he wont give them to me. What reason would he have for not giving them to me other than he's talking to someone else? Am I too controlling or do I need to get away from the situation?

my ex is always saying bad stuff about me to our children...she never did anything for you shes a bad mom etc none of it is true and my children know this in fact i consider it a form of child abuse but what i want to know is its been 2 yrs since we have been together he is with someone else and so am i.....he wanted out of our marriage i didnt but i accepted his choice.i was devesated and it took a long time for me to move on but i did and have.....i just want to know why after all this time he thinks badly of me and says things like this...i was a good wife and mom....why cant he just be civil for the sakeof our children i havnt bad mouthed him at all....can anyone explian this to me like i said its been 2 yrs........

I have dated someone for nearly 5 years but i have known him for 6 years. We get along great and see eye to eye on most things. We are both getting to the age where we I feel we need to settle down soon and start a life together ( i am 26 and he is 31. I really don't want kids much after 30.) I feel like i can talk to him about anything but find hard when it comes to marriage because i dont want him to treat me any different. About a year ago someone at a party was saying how perfect for eachother we are and he got real quiet. I am not really sure how to go about talking to him about this. Any ideas or suggestions?

I feel like I have a lot on my plate right now and am feeling a bit overwhelmed. I'm a new wife..(just got married 4 mos ago) about 2yrs years from finishing up my degree. My classes are getting very hard and are taking up alot of my time. I also feel so much pressure to be the perfect wife...keeping a clean house, staying in shape, making homecooked meals...etc. I know I don't have to do all these household things, as my husband has told me that I'm spreading myself too thin. But the truth is, when I try to neglect my house and focus on school, I feel awful and can't concentrate...I basically put being a housewife before being a student and it's making me crazy. I feel like no one understands...my family tells me to suck it up and quit whining, and my friends don't understand because they're either single, or unconcerned with keeping up their houses. I don't know what to do anymore. I know there are women who can juggle what I have to plus more...how do you all do it?

My boyfriend and I have been dating for 3 years. Marriage is not a subject that dominates our conversations. We've spoken about it before, but right now money is tight. I know we can't go get married next weekend, but I think in 2 years, we will be able to.

My boyfriend is very intorverted. It's very difficult for him to discuss his feelings openly. He just can't seem to verbalize how we feels. He communicates more with actions. Honestly, if we ever do get engaged; it will probably come way out of left field (not in agreement. We have already agreed on getting married a while ago, but just don't speak about it alot)

However, his family talks about our future more then we do. Yesterday, a family member refered to me as a SIL and another person meanted something about....."when you guys get married..."

Is it a good thing that his family talks more about future marriage plans then we do. Based on our relationship, is good or bad this family says more.
