My son announced he plans to get married to his girlfriend he has been dating for 4 months. He just turned 20. Young, but is NOT the strange part. Son left home about 14 months ago to attend college out of state, he had mentioned dating this "nice girl." We heard all about her in phone calls and emails home, but never actually saw her. This week he returns home for a visit with the girl and I immediately noticed something quite familiar about her. She very much resembled my long lost High school sweetheart. Yes, I picked up on this right away, I thought there is no way. Well "no way" turned out to be yes it is true. He is planing to marry the daughter of a girl I dated for 4 years during high school! This was my soul mate of sorts that got away for various reasons some 21 years ago.She was my first love and yes a person I have in a way always missed and longed for.

My husband told me the other day that he didn't know if he wanted to be married anymore. He had been married before me and we have been married for almost 10years. He needed some space. Although it hurt I agreed for the separation. Later to find out that he may though he denied it ran off with another woman. He had our bank card in which he was purchasing gas in about 4 diff states. So i had shut it off which sparked a text message from him to thank me for not doing what I had agreed. I said I would have if i didn't find out you were with someone else he said he isn't he is alone. All my friends and family are wanting me to run to the divorce lawyer and file. I don't know if I want to I want to know for sure before I make rash decisions it has only been 4 days. Am I a fool for waiting or is it so bad to want to hear his side of the story before getting a lawyer? I am worried about him though I haven't been able to contact him since monday and he don't have any money?

My husband had 2 kids with his ex gf before we met .They never married but he cheated on me once w/ her when we first got 2gether. glad to say it never happened again and we got through it. Every time we make a big move, like getting our own house, had our son, and now we just got married, some my inlaws makes it all about her like we have to base our decisions on her. the whole thing just makes me insecure sometimes even though my husband stands up and says he doesnt love her or care about her feelings for him anymore. We live in a very small town where everyone knows everyones business. my in laws makes our business her business. Its just a little too close for comfort. his mother still has her picture on the wall though she loves me to death. The ex is invited over to my mother in laws (where we live for the moment) ALL the time by his mother (she doesnt do it on purpose) not just holidays so she feels "included". I almost feel as if he has 2 wives w/ out the sex.

I found out last year 3 days before Christmas that my husband cheated on me 7 months earlier. He begged forgiveness and promised he'd never do it again. I have never forgiven him but I'm trying to live with it. Now, after him going to his weekly pool game at a bar, he came home late, drunk and crying. He said he was crying because he's worried over his son's marriage. I called the bar and nonchalantely asked "who was the lady _____ was talking to and the bartender said "I don't know her name". So that definitely clarified that he was talking to a lady even though he denied it. After the affair before, I don't even think it's right for any man to be at a bar, drinking, and talking to other women, especially when the wife is at home thinking that he's not doing anything wrong. I did a little "homework" and found out that he lied to me about a couple of little things. I feel so broken hearted I can't stand it. I'm tired of worrying about what he's doing. Any opinions?

Ok mark and i have been living together for 3yrs(both in our 30s) heres what he does when we fight
1.Has told me in my face to shut up
2. Throws/slams things around
3.Threatens to leave me all the time
4.Drops the "f" bomb(only with me)
5.Drives dangerously when we are fighting
6.Its ALLWAYS me not him at fault
7. Never says i'm sorry
8. Will give me the silent treatment to punish me
Now he would never do any of this stuff in front of his family/friends it only when we are alone. I never yell or sware at him but if i just bring up something that is bothering me he will start in with this crap. Its to the point where i'm walking on eggshells all the time as i never know how he will react to a issue i bring up.

I have a sister who has 3 children that hate her, she has joined every self help group including AA looking for people to listen to her while gaining nothing from the programs. She marries men that you wouldn't even talk to and she wont shut up. She is on the phone all day to whoever will listen, shows up at your house with all her problems, which are everyones fault but hers and gets upset if you try to talk to her rationally about anything. This a big problem for me as I can't throw her out, I can't get rid of her and I am terrified that when my parents die (she lives with them) she will show up on my doorstep to live with me. How do you handle this? I lietrally cant stand her. She brings chaos and misery to everything she touches and I have spent years trying to distance myself from her. But she is my sister.

ok well we are technically dating.. he works long long hours like 12-15 a day 5 days a week. and all weekend.. I knew this but I really still like him. We had a date for tonight and he calls me and tells me he got called into work and he is sorry..

My boyfriend broke up with me about a month ago (we went out for a year). At first he said we should just go on a break but now its more like a break up. He said he needed some space and he didnt want to have a girl friend right now. He also said that his feelings for me arnt as strong as they used to be. (this is because at the end of our relationship we fought a lot and disagreed about many situations) I still love him and i have this feeling that we will be back together in the future. We are still wicked close and talk on the phone once in a while and we always see eachother on the weekends. He says things that makes me think he still likes me but he is a really big flirt so i dont know what to think of it. Should i loose hope on us getting back together or should i try and get over him?

I mean i asked my mom's doctor woul dshe be okay and how the surgery went. (She had a blood clot removed from her brain and she is now out of the icu)

But when i had asked him the day after she came out of surgery how she was and would be and he said she is doing great, that every bit of the blood clot was removed but then in the next breath he said "She could die tonight or tomorrow night"

Why are doctors so uncaring and he knew that i was her daughter.?

I am lost please pray for my family.

what should I do I live with my mom right now and have for the last two years I can't move out right now cause I am a single mom of two girls and just don't have the money. My mom and I have never been close and fight almost every day. Almost every day I am in my room because we are fighting and I don't want to deal with it. I can't even stand to see her or be around here I have written her letter several times but nothing changes how else can I go about this.

We have been married for 2 years and its been an emotional rollercoaster. The current issue and one that has been prevalent throughout the relationship is my husbands drinking and smoking. When we were first dating he lied to me and told me he didn't smoke and that he would drink only socially. That was a lie because I soon found out that he does smoke and drinks more than 3 times a week. Well, the fact of the matter is that I asked him to quit at least the smoking for our daughter, which he did, but now that our daughter is one year old he wants to smoke again. Of course I have a problem with it and I really don't want him to smoke. So whenever he does say hes going to smoke, I get upset. He says he can't take it anymore and that he wants to make his own decisions and do what he wants. The problem is that whenever he does what he wants he ends up hurting me emotionally. Please help, I don't know what to do. I can't compromise because hes stubborn and hardheaded. Heeelllppppp!

well, i am going to have a baby in 2/08, and i dont know if i should give my son my boyfriend's last name.

i know we will get married, but i am NOT taking my boyfriend's last name, so i dont know if it will be easier to give our son my boyfriend's last name or my last name--what do you think?

i am not taking his last name because i do not believe in that tradition; i do not believe that my husband owns me just because we're married.

anywho, ,my boyfriend already knows i'm not taking his last name, and he said it is my choice whether or not our son takes his last name. i dont really know what to do. i'm trying to put my shoes in my son's place, and come up with an answer, but i cant seem to think of one.

also, we're thinking of the name trent for our son, and i'm wondering if i should pick the last name based on what sounds better with trent.

okay, i have a bestfriend katie
i think im getting sick of her.

anyways, i always have to have more friends then her, and be better then her.
If she talks about her friend, i think i get jealous.
But i always talk about my friends, and i have more then her. she hardly has two.

shes so shy too, she never talks in front of my friends who are always hyper and hugging me and stuff.

lately ive been ingoring her cause shes boring me out, her moms like her bestfriend. and like wtf?

i was wearing my friends jacket today cuz i was freezing and he wasnt. it was his letter jacket so it HAD HIS LAST NAME on the back and it said "varsity track" on the sleeves. and this girl told me i was trying to make it look like i was on track so i should quit posing and stick to reality. i mean WTF????? it had his last name on it!!!!! and his first name too somehwere on the front. is this posing in ANY way??? i never even said it was mine!!!!!! and she told me i was trying to FORGE my class. it said "class of 2010" on it.
