How much should we expect to spend on a wedding cake with the following descriptions? (And yes, I know that this is a question for a bakery -- we aren't at that stage of planning yet, so I'm just trying to get an idea of what to expect).

*Three tiers; 150 guests/slices.
*In each tier, four layers of white cake -- middle filling is marzipan and other two are raspberry preserves.
*Buttercream frosting. Sides rolled in toasted chopped almonds.

Anyone know how much I can expect to spend? Does the description above sound more or less expensive than another cake for the same number of people? Is there a "least expensive type" of cake?Know of any ways to cut costs?

Maybe im just too picky...but i havent found somone I really, really like. i got close to dating this one guy but he ended up moving away, and I really liked him. Havent found someone Ive liked more then a friend since. I feel like I'm left out since all my friends have boyfriends. :(

i have been seeing a married man for one year.i ended it ,but he finds it hard to let me go or even tell me the truth about why he wont leave his wife ,he still calls when i say no ,i change my number ,he shows up at my door , he secretly drives by my work and house, point blank he finds it hard to leave me and he tries to make me feel guilty for leaving him .so all wives out there have you ever thought tha your husbands are the ones that are making the other woman feel like they are not happy and that they want to be with them.i think people should stop blaming the other woman nad blame the looser married men that cant be honest with anyone.I was a mistress but i ended it ,but the married man made me feel like i should hold on, he lied to keep me longer ,told me he loved me ,he told me he was leaving her , he was begging me to have his kids,.So stop blaming the other woman because like you , they hurt us too even when you leave them to help save your marriage .

It all started soon after my fiance proposed to me. His mother all of a sudden became this obsessive control freak who felt that she had full rights to make decisions pertaining to my wedding. My future in laws have ostracized my fiance from their family, because we told them that they we were making the decisions as it is our wedding (and MY parents are paying for it). Then they told my fiance that they will not be attending the wedding and that they are no longer going to be involved in our lives. My fiance is crushed by this and his parents have manipulated their whole family into believing that my fiance "told them that he doesn't want them in our lives." This is completly untrue and I am at a loss of what to do for my fiance's sake. His whole family has abandonded him and the wedding is in in 7 months. Should we just let his family be or should we try to do something about it? Also they refuse to see me as I am "an evil person who is mentally unbalanced" oh yes and Selfish.

I am 24 years old and my girlfriend is of 21 year old. My parents will be happy with our marriage, but her parents are not agreeing. I am employed in a MNC and she is studding engineering in a reputated institute, she will get employed after one year when she will be of 22 year old. Her parents are not agree, they called me to talk and they told me that do not talk to my daughter. She loves me and I love her very much. Both of us can not live without each other. She can leave her parents for our marriage. My parents will accept her very happily. Her parents have a problem with my cast, I belong to an upper cast and she also belongs to an upper cast, but our cast is not the same. They also have a problem with my family’s living standards. As both of us belong to different places so our living style will be different. I and she both will adjust. I belong to Bihar so; they have a problem that I am a Bihary. Give me some legal suggestion if we will get married then Indian law will protect us? What we can do if after marriage they will threat us or they will commit suicide. Will it affect us legally? If they will try to take some action then what we will do to protect us legally?

Today was a friend of mines baby shower. I'm really happy for her. I got her a really nice gift. When we were in the room at work there were about 15 of us.This baby shower was at work. People at my job are extremely nosey and know everyones business or try to anyway. They know I'm not married and have not kids. I'm 36 yrs old. I was with a guy for 10 yrs and it didn't work out. I've been single for a couple of years now. Well anyway to the point of the story. Someone in the shower asked well who's next. A couple of peopl said this girl or that girl but these girls are married and much younger then me. Then someone said they thought it would be me because I sit in the same row as the other girl that is having the baby. Then another girl said well you better get started. Now is this wrong or am I just to sensitive. A couple of people even laughed. I mean first of all in my opinion you should never ask this question because what if someone can't have kids!

I'm a 14 year old girl, and my mom died this past year...She had been fighting with cancer for a few years. I had been kind of the typical teenager, pretty rude at times, all "rebellious", moderately ungrateful...there were good times, too, and we were still pretty close...but there were big fights, rudeness, all the teenage stuff. That's all normal, but she died before I had the chance to stop being a teenager and tell her how much I really do love her and appreciate her...I'm scared that she died not thinking that I love her. I'm kind of scared that that's the reason she died, that it broke her will...if you were in this situation as a mother, would you know all along that your daughter does love you? would you know that she's just being a teenager, or would you be thinking that she doesn't love you when you die? please tell me the truth, I just want to know if I really did break my mother's heart or if she knew how much I would always love her. thanks

This girl works with my boyfriend so I know thats not going to help any. She's always flirting with him, she asks for his sweater to wear when she's cold, and I even seen a message where she sent him a heart on facebook in his inbox. I'm starting to get a little irritated and I don't really know what to do. I just wish she would quit and stop trying to get my boyfriends attention. I told her to stop sending him hearts and that I'm his girlfriend not her, but I doubt that will do anything. Her response was actually telling me that I was over reacting and that a heart ACTUALLY means "lol"... like what the hell?? Since when?? That is the biggest bullshit ever! Any advice?

I don't get it.

I am in college-- am involved in several activities, pretty sociable, and yet... all the guys are fleeing to the girls who give it up after 2 words.

I don't drink, so I miss out on that aspect, but I would figure that would benefit me more because I won't have to deal with some of the arrogant and annoying people who don't have aspirations. And I am not saying that all guys are like this, but majority that I've met have been this way.

I know I won't sell myself short for that crap, but seriously, where are the real men at? Am I missing a key element that guys look for?

In a relationship, i always seek for a chinese guy... no matter if he's from singapore, malaysia, china, or anywhere in this world. As long as he's a chinese. I can't make my self to like a western, or indian, or african. Though when i look at around me, i find out many of asian women or men have cross marriage. I am happy for them, really, from my heart. But i just can't imagine if i were one of them. Is this what you call, racial?

i totally have a crush on this platonic friend, but he is seeing someone else. He always flirts with me and is always tryig to come over to my place when I am alone or asking me out to get drinks at the bar. I "jokingly" told him that i was into him and wanted a real relationship not just a friends with benifits thing (which i think he might be looking for) and he freaked till I said ROFLMAO. I think he only wants "that one thing" but I've loved him for years and want a commitment. He has told me that he is sleeping with his gf, so it is somewhat serious. Do I cut off the friendship like I'm thinking about doing..or what. What do u think?

Last week when I was really angry with my husband I wrote my mother in law an email telling her that I thought my husband was a jerk, liar, etc. and that I feel she has always hated me. I'm certain she has received and read the letter but she hasn't spoken to either of us so I want advice on how to talk to my husband about this before he gets a call from his mom. I don't feel that anything I wrote was untrue but it wasn't the best way to get out my feelings. I'm am worried this may cause our marriage to end, he is always on the verge of walking out. Any mature ways to deal with this?

I have posted some questions regarding whom my ex should work on the relationship? Some answers said that he should work on the relationship with his ex spouse instead of the new partner because they have make a marriage vows, and they have been through the good and bad times together. How about if a person whom married few times, which ex he would work on the relationship? Does each ex means same in God's eyes? Then, how about his current partner whom this person also make a commitment with? Does it mean nothing at all because we have not got that piece of paper yet?
