When I got divorced in 1998, my ex claimed to be unemployed. Without an income to go off of, the judge had to set his child support on the minimum he was capable of making, minimum wage. Which turned out to be $42.15 a week. I never went back and got it increased, though I knew he was working and knew without a doubt he made more than minimum wage. I finally asked for it to be increased a few months ago, and we went to a mediation about 2 months ago. I was in shock that they gave my me and my son an additional $450.00 a month. I didn't realize he made that much money. He was furious and called me every name in the book including money hungry.
Looking back at the past 9 years that he was only paying me $42.15 a week, I kinda feel this increase is making up for what he really should have been paying me all those years. What kind of looser quits his job right before court, so he won't have to show the judge his income? That is what my ex did, and then starting working afterwards.

I received a divorce last week however it was done prose and I misunderstood the judge when he asked about insurance benefits.. I do not have with my company (new company) and now me and my daughter have no insurance after 30 days. My ex has covered us for over 4 years and still will cover his son although not me or my biological daughter. Can I go back and appeal or ask for a consideration or is done done.

My judgement on this issue is irrelevant, but I'd like to understand why some people choose to do this.

I've heard of couples who will get everything situated legally so that they share property rights, are able to legally answer for medical issues for their partner, etc.

IF a person goes to that amount of trouble, why NOT get married? I'm talking about a male/female long-term relationship, where they live together without getting married.

I'd like to hear from someone in this type of relationship that can explain so that I and others can understand the attraction to not getting married, but still to have everything legally binding between the two of you.

What is the reason NOT to get married in this case?

Okay so I was really drunk and this guy starts making out with me and keeps telling me to do stuff like take my clothes off, give him a bj, or handjob, etc... so i kept constantly saying no over and over and i can't really do anything physically to stop what was going on, i could only say no. but then he kept like pushing my head down to his c0ck. thankfully i was sober enough to not let him do anything, however, even though nothing sexual happened, is this still sexual assault? or what?

I live here 1 year 7 months, When I came here I realize how different we are. We used to fight a lot, every weekend. He used to hit me at least 1 a month and I stayed because "I love him" he had help me a lot here, He used to be so sad and he decide he would not hit me again this was march, He was doing good until today. I have written answers before on a Domestic discipline relationship...as I will cut and past one of my answers to explain why I am in favor of it. READ IT BEFORE ANSWERING!!

I believe in Domestic Discipline completely. It's not right for every couple, however I believe there are plenty of couples that it couple work and would be a great idea for! Spanking in a relationship can help with many different things, i believe morals have gone to hell in this country! Divorce rate is so damn high. I believe that if BOTH parties know that there are consequences to their actions that they will think twice before doing something. Everyone is human and will make mistakes. That is OK. Every relationship has disagreements as well. However, there are times that they get out of hand and there are hurt feelings and perhaps built up resentment. That isn't healthy for a relationship and it can prevent it from succeeding. I believe it can be very therapeutic to have real consequences for your actions,

I have a great co-worker named Dan. I work with alot of salesmen, I am their receptionist. I am really blessed by him. He is always making sure that I am taken care of. I have been with my fiance for 3 years. We have 3 children. I have one from a previous and he has twins from a previous. We have a great family and happy kids.......most of the time. When we argue or get in a fight about even the most trivial and stupid things my fiance says VERY hurtful things to me. He will say he's cheated on me, or is cheating, or that he doesn't love me, or doesn't care if I leave or stay. When the fight is over he says he just says those things to hurt me, ecause it's the only way he can get to me and that of course none of it is true and I should know that he doesn't mean it. It hurts a lot I feel like my heart is broken repeatedly and I would do anyhting for him to stop acting out that way. I have left him about 4 times and every time I leave he begs me to come back and says he can't live without me and he loves me, buys me flowers he goes all out...but after a little while it goes back to the same old same old.

My boyfriend told me that I can flirt with anyone I want, and do drugs, and that I can make out with girls (even my ex-girlfriend, who I had a super serious relationship with and YES, I am a girl).

By saying that, is he just giving HIMSELF room to do s**t like that?

My husband had an affair 1 year ago with a China gal. It took him 3 times (I discovered they were still communicating after the 1st and 2nd time he end the relationship infront of me, they promise me never to communicate during the 1st time) to part clean with her (I hope its really clean this time). The 1st 2 times was initiated by my husband, and the final time the gal look him up. I was so upset that I cut my hand with a scissors and had 7 stitches done in hospital. Initiated divorce twice but was not successful. He cut his own finger to show his remorse for the 1st time and enlist my parent's help for the 2nd time. I have been unable to trust him up till now and still cannot get over his infidelity. Though I moved on with him in our marriage for a year already but my heart is still not healed at all & I do feel hatred for him. We had 2 kids, now I'm 2 months pregnant and a homemaker. Divorce is not an option now. How can I forgive and forget to lead a normal happy life?

This really insn't a wedding question but I thought this would be the best place to ask.

I was asked to plan a banquet dinner for an organization. I already know where I need to have it because there is going to be a 3 day event (another organization is doing) at the hotel and then our organization will host a dinner for all of those who will attend. When should I contact the hotel to book a banquet room?
I really need to have the dinner on a certain day and want a certain banquet room in the hotel. Is a year in advance to soon? I'm new at this.
