The details as I know them are that this man was/is friends with my wife before we got together. I had always been told that they hung out together only with a group of mutual friends. I have learned that they dined together and traveled overnight alone several times that I know of.(seperate hotel rooms I'm told)
I found pictures of them being very affectionate on a romantic sunset cruise. My wife admitted he made a pass at her that night and she rejected him. I also found a card that he expressed that he was in love with her. Does anyone think it is possible that this was just "companionship" as my wife has described their relationship. The reason it affects me is because they continued to be friends after we got together. He even came to our wedding with his wife.
I confronted the man and he claimed he saw himself as a mentor to her. I told my wife she would be lucky to find 1 person in 100 to believe her, I just want to get other opinions.

I have a serious problem w/ my brother's relationship. I am the older one, when I am upset at him, I hurt him and abuse him. I really don't know how else I can control my anger. I blame him and I hurt him. I really want to stop this abuse and find a healthier way to relieve my stress/anger w/ him.

My fiance and I are getting married in less than 3 weeks and had to change the location. We were going to get married in my sister's back yard with an outside ceremony. The weather hasn't been great lately and so we changed it to a community center close to where we live. The problem is that now my sister's feelings are hurt and she's my matron of honor.

We changed the location because of the weather and we didn't have a backup plan in case in rained (we're in FL). My sister said that we could move it inside her house, which is quite large, but will not hold 100 people and a DJ and a room for a dance floor. We were going to get a tent, but that wouldn't cover everything and a bigger tent would be even more money.

Ultimately, I don't know what to say to my sister. Any advice?

Help, I am suspecting child abuse with my 3 year old son. Split custody/legal and physical with the father.

Son has been displaying aggressive behavior, hitting and yelling. He also told me that daddy hit him and locked him in the room, naked.

Where can I get legal aid? I am in California

I have no money for a lawyer to modify the child custody agreement. I want supervised visits. I wake up every morning with a gnawing feeling in the pit of my stomach. I need to do something about this, and what should my first step be?

My SIL just cancelled her wedding and is getting engaged to another guy in a month. She mentioned having a quick destination wedding with close family members. My husband and I don't have money for that. Would we be "required" to go to this?

why would a guy choose to pursue his plans of revenge against his ex-girlfriend instead of moving on and working on his relationship with someone who loves him (and who he says he loves too) and whom he knows would never hurt him like his ex did?

I just don't understand why he would still choose to have his revenge on his ex knowing that he is hurting someone in the process..

My husband and I have been married for 10 years. I have 1 child from a previous marriage and he has 2 daughters from his previous relationship and we have 2 kids together. Here is my question. My husband insists on letting his 14 year old do and say whatever she wants. When he tells her "no" she starts yelling at him until he backs down and changes his mind. He caught her smoking with her friends in her bedroom at 3am and just went back to bed. He "talked" to her about it, and thinks she won't do things because she knows it will disappoint him. Of course she does stuff anyway because she knows she can. Why does he let her do everythng and yells at the other kids when they misbehave. He jumps them quick, but has his head up his daughters %&$. He looks as if he doesn't have the balls to stand up to her, but he says it's because she has always been second to the other grandchildren and feels sorry for her. What can I do to make things more even in this household?

"According to researchers and a recent online poll, African American females are the social group least likely to date outside of their particular racial group.

The results of a "Mate Preferences" survey published Saturday in the New York Times found that women in general are less likely than men to seek dating or marriage relationships with members of other racial groups. But this reluctance seems especially true of Black women. The survey's author John Tierney concluded, "It's not that white men are more reluctant to date non-whites, it's that black women are less willing to date someone of another race."

This latest survey appears to confirm an August 2004 "Racial Preferences in Dating" study which found that with the exception of Asians, "women of all races exhibit strong same-race preferences." Both Black and white males were more willing to date across racial lines.

My grandma lives with us and she spends a lot of her time on the phone with her sisters. I will be doing something and overhear her say nasty things about my family. She should be greatful because most older people are in nursing homes and were not invted to move in with their children. She has called my mother a lousy housewife and cook. She was making a big issue of the fact that last night when a few friends came to pick me up they had to wait 3 minutes for me. She has said she feels bad for the guy who has to marry me. She thinks my parents should pay for my brother college tuition bill from a school he got basically kicked out of cause he slept late and didn't show up to class and forgot when his exams were. It's just constant talking down about us and I am tired of it.

My husband and I want matching tattoos and I'm having a hard time finding something we both like. We were going to get the chinese symbol for love on our wrists but that seems played out. I know a lot of people think this is a bad idea but neither of us believe in divorce and if for some reason we ended up not together years to come we still have a child in heaven together and we'll always have love for each other. Anyone have any ideas?

Me and my ex boyfriend went out for about 2 years. Over the summer we got in a lot of arguements so I just sort of faded out of his life because I didn't want to put up with it and I started getting really busy with school/athletics. We haven't hung out for a little over 7 weeks. We have a class in school but I just run out to avoid confrontation with him. He texted me yesterday it said "we should hang out soon.." and I thought sure why not so I texted back "yeah...we should."
He responded back saying "was that sarcastic?"
Why would he think I'm being sarcastic? And is what I said back really that sarcastic?

If your boyfriend told you a week ago that you'd be doing something this weekend that you were really looking forward to, and then he says he doesn't want to anymore at the last second because you'd be going 1 hour later, what would you say?

I was looking forward to this all week! Please can we go??
or
Fine....whatever you want......

Keep in mind...later that night your hanging out with his friends

I'm currently 18, turning 19 next month...me and my girlfriend recently broke up due to her wanting her independance at university which I obviously respect. But i'm finding her leaving alot more painful than I thought it would be...and the old saying "you don't know what you've got until its gone" kicked in...I recently spoke to a friend who got engaged and thats why i'm thinking of asking her...maybe after a few months of her being there. Just wondering if anyone else had a similar experiance and how they found it. =]
