I am sorry you have been disappointed but this is actually good since you are learning about him The problem is some people rush into marriage like this and then decide there is no compromise. You could say to him your first example of 'please can we go' and he might even go but he wouldnt be happy, so then you, in turn, if you love him, wouldnt or shouldnt be happy either. So for that reason, I would say little or nothing about it. File it away in your mind but remember it. Remember this day as a day when he is doing everything the way HE wants. Sounds like you are not sharing his preferences so it is good you learned that now. It is ok for you to want to be independent and depending on how old you are now, I bet you will not continue in this relationship for long.Dating is good since it allows all these events to occur so you can add them all up and at the end of a couple years, decide if this is the way you want to live !

Maybe your boyfriend just does not feel like going anymore. I do not think Please can we go would help.
