Me and my ex boyfriend went out for about 2 years. Over the summer we got in a lot of arguements so I just sort of faded out of his life because I didn't want to put up with it and I started getting really busy with school/athletics. We haven't hung out for a little over 7 weeks. We have a class in school but I just run out to avoid confrontation with him. He texted me yesterday it said "we should hang out soon.." and I thought sure why not so I texted back "yeah...we should."
He responded back saying "was that sarcastic?"
Why would he think I'm being sarcastic? And is what I said back really that sarcastic?

Well you stopped seeing him for some reason that you didn't like about him. Maybe this is the reason. He is insecure and thinks you are always trying to get his goat. Maybe you should not hang out with him. Tell him you two are not right for each other and move on. You don't need this head ache and you are ready to move on. You see you have made up your mind not to see him but you have forgotten to tell him. So tell him and set yourself free and find the next person in your life.

He would think you're being sarcastic because you run out everytime you see him.

Well, you can't tell if someone is being sarcastic or not with texting, so yeah.

its cause of the way you replied...."YEAH.....WE SHOULD",
using "yeah" means u r not sure, had u use yes instead, he wouldn't have thouught that, remember wat u text has as much impact as whaat u say.....
