why would a guy choose to pursue his plans of revenge against his ex-girlfriend instead of moving on and working on his relationship with someone who loves him (and who he says he loves too) and whom he knows would never hurt him like his ex did?

I just don't understand why he would still choose to have his revenge on his ex knowing that he is hurting someone in the process..

He does that because he hasn't gotten over her and is still emotionally involved with her whether he admits it or not. He may say he loves you but if he did, he would be too busy being happy with you to think about the ex-girlfriend, so he is only saying what he knows you want to hear and not what he truly feels inside. be very careful about a relationship with this guy because if he were mature, we wouldn't be planning revenge, and in fact that may be why she dumped him, and he may be just with you waiting for her to change her mind and take him back.

Some men and women cant get over there ex so they decide to get revenge.

They think it will help ease there pain, it probably will but then the
EX-Girl/boyfriend will be the next to plan revenge for what he did.

Its a vicious cycle of Get-revenge-on-you-ex-ness

the guy above me is right. He is still obsessed with her. He is trying to control her and probably has a couple screws loose. He better watch out because people will only put up with so much and he might be next if he continues these childish games.

Sounds like he still likes her, because if he didn't he wouldn't be concerned with getting revenge for what she did. He should only care about you and what's now not then.

Evenn tho he may love someone else, the X-girlfriend hurt him.

If someone shot your dog, wouldn't you want revenge too? even tho you can buy another dog and love him, you still want to kill the M.F. who killed the other one, right?

Something like that.

There's some people out there that can't get over themselves so they start such neat revenge quests, men and women both.

He feels that since he was hurt and that she is "his" (jealousy and possession), then anything he can to do drive the point home is OK

He is not over her - and can't move on . So you really don't have a relationship from him .
