when my hubby & her were together they had a son.

she & her current hubby make a considerable amt of money.
she stated she's gonna take me to court & come after me for money to look after her son. i'm on maternity leave. wouldn't the courts look at her hubby's financials before mine?

whenever she is mad she freaks at every little thing we do but now she's targeting me. she's pure evil. when she hears we're going through rough times she attacks us financially. we just get by.

trying not to freak out about this. help! advice. comfort.

My husband confronted an associate about making me feel uncomfortable (flirting). He says he didn't know he was making me feel like that, and acted like he was grateful my husband brought it to his attention and that his wife knows about his nature. The flirting has stopped, but, he keeps staring from a distance. Yesterday, he walked to the door to watch my husband and I walk away together. What is this??? Is he perverted? Should I be concerned?

My boyfriend only comments on women's butts and breasts. He doesn't comment on any other thing arould us, not a sunset, not an unusual paint job on a car, not a guy with a giant gut hanging out from under his shirt, not a woman's hair, face, arms, legs (unless her skirt or shorts are VERY short), not her stomach, her back, her feet. Nothing else around us is worth mentioning except boobs hanging out or see-through clothing. We saw a 400# woman at the Renaissance Festival with no less than 12 individual rolls of fat on her back and stomach, and he didn't even seem to notice she was standing there. We saw a guy swallowing swords and fire! Didn't hold his gaze for one instant. But then we saw an average looking girl with a slightly see-through skirt on and and he comments on it! The world could be exploding around us and he would miss it unless the blast blew open a woman's shirt! What's the deal??? Sorry, that was a long rant. Thanks for reading :)

I have a friend who has a husband and they have three children. She is a stay at home mom because her husband doesn't want her to work. He has told her that he expects three fully prepared meals a day and that the family has to sit down together to these meals. He says because he is the breadwinner that this is the way it is going to be!
I asked her if she can't just ask him for a time when they could just go out to eat and she said that he doesn't like eating out. She is miserable because she would like a break from this routine. Any suggestions or advise would be gladly welcomed and I could pass it on. Thanks!

My Fiance of 3 years split up with me in June stating that she needed to find herself. It was an EXTREMELY DEPRESSING summer for me. I miss her everyday. Two weeks ago, I signed up on Match.com and the response has been astounding, I now have 8 girls that I will be going out with. But I am scared, why is dating so hard after a long term relationship, breaks up?

I am so excited I will be a MOM! However, I feel my family will not be so excited for me. My mother mentioned to me how she felt about her other grandchild. She told me since she only sees her once a month she does not feel close to her at all. She knows I have been going to a fertility clinic and that I am living overseas. It really hurt me. Also, my other family members almost did not include us in her surprise birthday party until the very end. They never told us how it turned out. Nothing! They make comments about our living here being a 'vacation'. They have never called once since I have moved here 6 months ago. However, my mother and one brother has written me a few times. My husband has mentioned to me they seem very selfish and want me to do for them only. He told me I need to move on since they will never be 'happy' for me. I feel very sad that I can't share my life ups and downs with my family.

My parents have been divorced for 20 years. My mother still talks about how much she hates my dad and will be glad when he dies. My dad doesn't even mention my mother. If I talk about my dad to my mum, she freaks out and calls me selfish and says I don't respect her. So...
My grandfather (mum's dad) passed away last Wednesday. My grandmother (father's mum) passed away on Tuesday. I was close to both of them, and this has been extremely difficult to deal with.
Last night I called my mother crying about missing my grandmother. She got irritated and said I was not to mention my grandmother in front of her out of respect. I understand she hates my father, but why can't I mourn my grandmother's and grandfather's deaths together. I was told I can only mourn my grandfather in front of her. When I started crying, she told me I need to "get a grip." I am so hurt. This is supposed to be my mother. She's never really been supportive, but this is ridiculous. Is this right?

1. For reasons science has not yet deduced, their hugs just work better.
2. Yes, they show off... but it's all to impress you.
3. They're not nearly as harsh with the criticizing girls' bodies as girls are on themselves and each other.
4. Without them, would we have the word "gnarly"? It's doubtful.
5. When they see "Boys suck" T-shirts and message board threads, it breaks their tender boy hearts.
6. Have you ever watched a boy watching a girl rummage through her purse? That wide-eyed, mystified look they get?
7. You can borrow their hoodies that smell like boy + dryer sheets.
8. If there's some pain in the *** thing to carry or open or fix or reach, they'll do it... eagerly, even, because it gives them a chance to flex their Boyness.
9. They make great bases for pyramids, chicken fights, and piggy-back rides.
10. Because you know how people say "Treat me like gum stuck to the bottom of your shoe once, shame on you; treat me like gum stuck to the bottom of your shoe twice, shame on me"? You can't complain about how much all boys suck because of how one or two specific boys treated you unless you TOLD them about how wrong they were. The reason he was probably such a jackhole to you in the first place was that he got away with it with ten other girls who never set him straight -- or he's retaliating against some girl who treated him like dirt. They have brains and they learn.
11. Uh, Johnny Depp?
12. They believe you when you tell them how you feel, even after you hurt them by not believing them when they're upset about something.
13. Holding it against them that society taught them not to discuss their feelings is just as lame as holding it against a girl if she cries at inconvenient times. If you give them a safe way to express their emotions -- a way that they know they won't get yelled at or beat up -- they usually will.
14. The part where their hair ends at the nape of their neck, when it's cut short, feels like puppy dog.
15. At the end of the day, alls they really want is for someone to comment on their blog. Just like you.
16. Girls lie plenty, too, hon.

I think there is, loving someone is when you want the best for them and you care for them...for example if my best friend did drugs, I would try to help her b/c I love her.

But being IN love w/ someone is when you can't see yourself w/ anyone else, they are the first thing you think about when you get up and the last thing you think about when you go to bed...and you can't stand not being in their presence, you have to be near them, you like to feel the warmth of their skin touching yours, you can feel comfortabel around them at all times, you can cry in front of them, you can trust them w/ all your heart and more. And all that in general...

but do you have a different interpretation or do you even think there is a difference?

My husband I and I have been together for almost 8 years. We have two young children and a pretty good relationship. We have a messenger account that he has been using and a few months ago I added the history feature to it because I had a funny feeling ( he cheated on me when we first started dating). Yesterday morning I checked the history and to my horror, I found some crazy things. There was a detailed chat of him trying to meet up with another couple and there was one that said " my wife is away and I am looking for someone to come over" ( I went away for two days for work). I of course confromted him and he insists that he did no go through with anything and did not cheat. I know if one of my friends told me this I would tell them to kick him out, but I don't know what to do. He said he didn't cheat, but if I didn't catch him, how far would this have gone? I feel betrayed and angry, but I don't want my kids to go through a divorce. Should I end it?

I was looking at some pictures of one of my daughter's friend's 16th Birthday party on Facebook. She has a big party with about 100 people.

My ex-husband and I knew her parents and used to meet them at social outings. I also went to see my daughter's friend when she was born.

I wonder sometimes why things seem to work out for them - good kids, house, jobs and intact family. Yet, my life is so messed up - marriage did not work, child is not doing so well in school, career is not where it should be, no social life, etc.

I am happy that this family has a good life and things worked out for them. Yet, I look at my life and wonder where I went wrong. I could not adjust to my ex-husband and left him so many times. He was and still is abusive, controlling and manipulative.

Life is strange......I guess you have to make the best of each day.

Why is it that some people have a smoother life than others?
