Our son has decided last minute that he wanted to join 8th grade football (he has never played before) So we rushed around to get all his equipment and spent alot of money doing so. He has attended 3 practices and has not yet played in a game. He says that it hurts and it is no the sport for him. All the sudden he has decided that he wants to quit and keeps asking us if he can.
I think he should finish what he started but I am undecided I also think it will toughen him up a bit

ok once again there is this guy named brent and i saw him the other day. We were talking and he was touching my hair saying how he loved it and how i look soo nice. ( We haven't seen each other in a while" The he tells me he wants to hold my hand walking down the street. e said he wanted it to look like i am his girl. Then i found out that my frind likes him. But then brent told her that he had a girl. He said that she was black, 5"4 and goes or either used to go to the same school as him. Which all siund like he is talking about me. Being that besides me and my friend we are the only black girls he really nows. My freind said that brent said that he dont LIKe me like but but everytime i am around brent he gives me special attention and wants to hug me or play around or hold my hand. Whats up/??

My father just passed away 1 month sept 25 and unfortunately it would of been his 59th birthday. I am verry sadden by this and I need confort and try to go on with life without this constant grieveness. I have 3 beautiful children one being 3 months old, I was blessed that my father was able to see and hold my only daughter before his death. Any words of confort from anyone dealing with death I would really appreciate it. I am trying to be strong and show no weakenss with friends since many of them don't have a real idea what I am going through and I don't feel that they are really helping me unfortunately.

Ok, here's my story! I met a guy a few months back...and well we started having unprotective sex, I am 23...he is 33...he was recently divorced at the beginning of this year and has 2 kids with his ex...well...Thursday she found out about me and told me him and her have been sleeping together....well....Friday the 14th I took a pregnancy test and it come to be positive...well...I ended up telling him...and he was so excited...well this Thursday...he told me how much he loved me and how he wanted us to start a life together...then the next day...he wants to work things out with his ex wife...which he had always told me before he didn't want to do...well...he and I met yesterday to take another test...and guess who showed up...the ex-wife!! I don't have to prove anything to her...and I felt uncomfortable with the fact of her just being there...well...he ended up slapping me AFTER I spit in his face(truth came out...that he was cheating) What am I to do?? my boyfriends jus gone to univercity through his parents making him...
were both absoloutly mortified now were on our own.
seein each other on a weekend just isn't enough.
He's sugguested that we start the rest of our lives together now
and have a baby and family together so he can move back home.

(No I am not just saying this because I'm 13.)

So yesterday, my mom was telling my dad, and I, and the rest of our family, that she would never want to have a tube in her throat if she's had a car accident or something. She'd rather have it be pulled out. Then my dad starts saying stuff like, "Even if it's written in your will, I have the right of passage to do what I want. I'm your husband." I feel that he would not pull the tube out. He's just using that power over my mom, just to make him superior. I'm an only child. I know that the spouse will make those decisions, then the child. Is there anyway that I can be the first person to make those decisions? I don't want my mom to suffer the rest of her life. She's my mother who gave me life. And I don't think my dad understands that.

So is there anyway I can be the first person to make a decision like that?

hi im 18 and i kinda have a problem with going out atm
ever since i was 17 i kept saying when im 18 i will be able to do everything that i want but now that i am 18 i cant bear myself to do this? i will promiss my best friend to go out with him then on the day totally not want to go and either end up going unhappy or not go at all.
its upsetting me but i dunno what it is down to
when i was about 15 though my mum was very protective over me and wouldent allow me to go out with my friends i dunno if this has anything to do with it

experts please? I had a two year relationship with a 24-year old. I'm 30. She did treat me like !@#$%^&&*() for the last year of the relationship, and I didnt do anything but treat her like the queen I know she is. I gave her a choice of ending the relationship and she took the bait because I knew something was up. She tried to change me into her own fantasy person, which I chewed her out on. After we broke up, she found a new boyfriend within 3 weeks. I am assuming and know that she had him on the side. Three times in four weeks after our breakup. She had called me to see if just to check up on me (I'm not a child) once, and to see if I was ready to talk to her and become friends (all three times). I told her "Mary Grace I will call you when I'M ready". I wrote her a letter telling her I need space and that I still care for her. Now she has an upcoming b-day, she will turn 25. Now I'm not going to be an @$$hole and forget about her b-day. But I'm doing this as a friend. So what I did was I bought her a half dozen roses the day before, had it sent to her b-day place the day of (this was yesterday, by the florist), where she was holding her b-day party (3 yellow, 2 pink, and 2 peach) gave her call on her cell phone (the night before her party), and this is what I said to her in a very smooth manner (I'm assuming that she listened to it and maybe ignored it)

"Hey its Erwin,
listen, i know that we havent spoken in the last three weeks, and that I told you that I will talk to you and call you when I'm ready. And despite what you have done to me in the past, I HAVE NEVER AND WILL NEVER HATE YOU. And I know you got a birthday coming up on Tuesday, so I just wanna wish you a happy and safe 25th bday. I'll tell you what, perhaps we can call each other some time, As a matter of fact why don't we talk sometime later this week. You have a goodnight. Bye!"
Okay so the "perhaps we can call each other some time. As a matter of fact why dont we talk sometime later this week" line may have been corny or too much for her. But thats how I feel


As she received the flowers, she was very receptive to it, by texting me, "Thank you so much for the flowers, they are very pretty". I responded. "You're very welcome. Happy 25th". But this was just for the flowers. I'm wondering about the voicemail message I sent her. I dont wanna push it. But I am also very curious, as to when a girl like her may or even may not call back? Does this actually mean, the lines of communication have been shut down for good? Or do I have to always be the one to start communicating. Like emails, phone calls, etc? Somewhere, down the line I do want to have some sort of casual breakfast/lunch w/ her if she is willing to do it. Her new man lives 30-35 minutes from her, while I live only 2 blocks from her. I do want to have her back as a girlfriend, but very subtly. Am I being crazy and unrealistic? Question is, how long should I wait for her to return my voicemail to me. I don't wanna push it but if I wait too long, I KNOW I WILL LOSE MY CHANCE AT BEING WITH HER EVER AGAIN. I'm an amateur when it comes to women. She was only my 2nd serious relationship.

I want to keep the lines of communication open again, see if there is any chance again. I just dont know how to go about doing it. Any advice or opinions?

Can honestly say they are never attracted to other people?

I don't mean you would cheat on your partners. I just mean that sometimes you see someone and they catch your eye and you think they look nice or yummy, fit whatever word you choose.

Is it not nice when someone flirts a bit with you, does it honestly not make you feel good about yourself.. just a little bit.

Isn't it just natural? So why do so few couples talk about it or get upset about it?
