Hello, I'm in my teens. I was raised in a very disfunctional family. I always feel alone, very lonely, as if I was on my own...when infact I have a family, a family who does'nt care(at least that is the way I feel.) My role in the family is the scapegoat or sometimes I use humor to bail out on my feelings. I loose my temper and sometimes make holes in the wall. I try very hard to read and practice bible principles but my family is not on the same page...it's as if they have given up on family values. What can I do for comfort?

My girlfriend is always telling me about her ex's and how much money they spent on her and where they always took her. I'm not wealthy at all and can't compete with that. All her ex's lived with their parents, didn't have to work and had the nicest cars bought for them. How am I really suppose to compete with that?

At times I wonder if my spouse really likes me. I only wonder this because my family doesn't. I dont blame them. I'm a burden, and they're getting tired, so they married me off. But my guy is a sweetheart. I'm so lucky to have found him(well...he found me). See, y I'm asking? One gets their sense of self worth, partly atleast due to family responses. But when I met my guy, he wanted to marry me. I"d tell him deterants, but he didn't mind them. I still tell him things, but he doesn't mind them. I do want to be married to him, but I"m just wondering of his intentions since I'm not valued by my creators. It doesn't help that he says he'll tell me when he gets here either(although i get that, it's not easy talking on the phone). I guess I just don't understand y a guy would like a girl who's family doesn't even seem to like her. OH, i do understand my family's reasoning, I just don't know what to do about it. I just don't understand my husband's. serious answers please, thanks.

My neighbor and I have been flirting with eachother now for over a year. Finally we decided to go out with eachother over coffee. We had a really good time getting to know one another, and he gave me a big tight hug after our date saying I was beautiful. I just wonder why he didn't invite me to his apartment for us to get to know eachother more?

..This question came up over an incident that happened a couple weeks ago.

My gf got asked to go back to a hotel party with a famous comedian after one of his shows. She declined his offer but then asked me "would you have been mad if i would have went?" I said if it was Dave Navarro(who I know she has a huge crush on) I'd say go for it because that offer is never going to come around again. I said, "I think you'd be a lttle more hurt if I cheated on you with Whoopi Goldberg instead of somebody like Jessica Alba. At least you'd understand the reason behind Jessica."
And no, my gf is not a cheater. She's just a typical woman who just has to ask that "Cosmo question." So now I pass that question to all of of you. = P

I was talking to my friend during sports practice and he said if I like this girl that I hang out with at lunch. I have her for P.E and talk to her. I've only known her for 2 weeks and my friend said "do you want to see if you want to go out with her?". Is this a bad move or should I get to know her a lot better?

and what did it take for your woman to win your heart?

This is just one topic of what being a "real man" is to me, but one that is heavy on my heart: Are there men that actually love their wives, only want to be with them and are not attracted to other women? Or is that just a fairy tale? I am in an ok marriage, so I'm not looking for a relationship, it is just that this world seems really sad, with no hope. God made marriage - and sex for married couples. That is healthy. I know men and women are "wired" differently, but sex should mean love for both!!!
Don't get me wrong, I know women can be a mess too! But usually it is the man that is more sexually "weak".
Please only answer with real answers, no rude comments!!!

I go to a racial diverse college. I am black I just started school a week ago. Their is this girl ( she is white). She is in my math class. She is always staring at me, and after class she comes up to me and starts talking about how much she hates the class. It was very strange, someone like her just coming up and talking to me. Its a huge campus, but she always seems to be near. She is kinda sexy, kinda off in a seductive way. but i don't feel comfortable with interacial relationships, especailly because she has blonde hair and blue eyes. It would upset my female relatives. I am having conflicting feelings about her, I like her and she seems to care about me. But on the other hand, you know.

Cold, hard cash, or a night in a hotel room?

My great aunt asked my grandma this, and she relayed it to me, because she didn't know what to say. I got married a few weekends ago, and my aunt lives in another state, so she wasn't able to attend, and wants to give me a gift.

We're pretty much living paycheck to paycheck, so the cash would be great, but we didn't have a honeymoon either, so there's good points for the hotel room, too.

What is your opinion?

My current boyfriend and I were set up by mutual friends on a blind date. We talked on the phone daily for about 2 weeks before we actually met in person. I really liked talking to him even before we met. In fact, I had this gut feeling the 2nd time we talked that he was "the one". Now its only been a month since we've been dating, yet things have happened pretty quick(and it doesn't feel wrong or bad). We talk about marriage, moving in, kids, etc....we're so in love! Has anyone else had a relationship that started quick and are still together....tell me your story etc.

We got a long so well and made plans to see each other again, but after a week, he emailed me this. Did he diss me or was just using an excuse not to see me again? Should I email him back? If so, what?
This is his email.
" Sorry I have not been in touch. It's a very long story but I'm not doing well right now. When things are better I will be in touch."

Here's the info - My brother seems to be sabotaging his relationship. They were married since they were 16, when they had an unplanned pregnancy. For 10 years, they had a "descent" marriage with ups and downs. In the 11th year, they seperated, each going out with others. In their 12th year, they got back together and are now living together raising their two children (but still not remarried).

My SIL was having a hard time with her 30th birthday coming up a couple days ago... knowing how she has always begged and pleaded him to do something "romantic", even told him - buy me cheap flowers, rent a room, rent a love movie, anything ... and knowing her birthday was approaching, my mom and I called my brother on the sly, "do you have a cake?" (No) "Do you have a card? or note?" (No) "Did you get her a present?" (No)... He finally went to the store and bought a cake, but that was all.

I know he knew better... I knew he knows what to do to "build" his relationship...
