She sounds materialistic. She needs to be able to enjoy being with you for the sake of being with you. If shes only happy to be with you when you're taking her to an expensive restaurant or buying her expensive gifts, then she doesn't really like you that much anyway. Shes only into what you can buy for her.
Just tell her that money is necessary to pay bills and have the basic necessities of life, but other than that, money doesn't mean crap. If you have to be with someone you don't want to be with to get money, then you're living a horrible life.
Someone, who doesn't have very much money, but truly cares about the person they're with and know that that person feels the same about them are 10 times happier then a rich couple where one of them is only with the other because of their money.

not all girls are like that but i know what you mean my girlfriends ex had a multimillion dollar trust fund and i am a student how do you compete with that. The best weigh is to just make sure a girl knows she is priceless to you and show you care in others ways that don't involve money.

You don't compete. First off, you need to tell her to stop talking about her ex's so much. If she wants that why are they ex's? Maybe they got tired of her spending their money. You need to tell her that you are not trying to go broke just to satisfy her and if she wants a man that's going to spend all of his money on her then she needs to go out and find her a rich man, because you are a real man and you are to be respected as such.

Some girls are just money hungry shallow things.
Some girls like a man that works hard, and can give them a secure future.
Some girls don't give a crap, as long as they can have their man that they love.
Tell it to her straight out. They lived with their parents, and if she wants to be a shallow little girl that has big daddy buy her ponies.. she can hit the road. She obviously doesn't give a crap about you. She just wants your free cash.

I don't. Just think like the beatles 'Can't Buy Me Love'. You shouldn't bother trying to compete with that jerks money. If you are a genuine guy who is sweet and loving, she can't put a price on that.

Be honest. Be realistic. I, for one, need a man to give me money, as I'm not gonna make enough to get the things I like. So I'll talk like that to a new guy...and when they don't produce, I leave. 'Cus that's my reality. You are what you are. Poor slob, lol. Give up the beautiful gold digger. ;) Find yourself a hard working lass.
And people: lay off us gold diggers! We gotta right to live how we want, just the same as you!! :)

You can't!!!! BUT if that's what she wants then she's shallow and you should let her go. You sound like you work hard for what you have and you need someone who can appreciate that. Girls like to know that their boyfriend WILL spend money on them, but of that's all they want, then the relationship is based on material things and it's not real.

I hear ya lol... well if thats all she wants then find someone better. My boyfriend and I are in college, and I don't expect him to buy me tons of things, sometimes I pay for dinner or the movie, etc. But someone who really likes you won't even care about that.

man, money is so terrible. honestly it can either make or break someone. it in no way tells how intelligent, or how "worth while" someone is. if you feel like this gf of yours is pressuring you then, i think you should get out while you can. becuz if its for money that she wants you, then that can tell you that if you stick with this relationship you could have many problems down the road....
