Siblings Abuse help?

My younger brother is 13 years old and for the past couple of years he has been physical abusing me sometimes i play along so it wont hurt as bad or hit him back i always thought that he just liked to rough house but it has gotten worse last year he dislocated my elbow and a couple years before he chased me around the house with a bucther knife because i told him to do his homework my mother knows and says she will get him anger mangment (she never does) he has even verbially abused her an me with sayings such as fat cow go kill yourself i would really like to know if i can do anything about this please help

you should report that to 911...or might suggest to your mom to bring your sibling to a psychiatrist...

Your brother is a danger to everyone in the family and himself as well. He is apesh*t.
Apparently nobody ever taught him anything about limits.
Your mother will not do anything unless she is directly threatened, and is in genuine dread fear.

See if you can talk to your school counselor and get some help regarding some agencies... if not, try talking to the United Way agencies in your area. He really needs to be evaluated by professionals and TREATED... perhaps even institutionalized until stabilized. Don't stop until you get help.

In the meantime, you need to consider getting yourself out of there as much as possible. Keep your mother in the loop as to your whereabouts, but stay with friends, get a part-time job in the evenings, participate in extracurricular activities... anything to hog up your time so you are not at home as much. The trick will be to do your assigned chores around the house and keep your grades up so you won't get into trouble.

Sorry to say it, but if you are out of the mix (you are a buffer), your mother will have to deal with him. Don't wait until it is a police matter.

honey,your mom needs a wake up call before she gets a rude awakining,otherwise she need to do something now before he kills you or someone else.is there a dad around,you didnt mention one so im to asume no.show your mom this post you posted have her read it and the answers and do it in private,discuss what are the options,maybe she scared and dont know what to do.has your brother hurt or torchered animals?i babysat a child who chased me and her brothers with a butcher knife-shes in prison now!dont give him the power get him help and i mean real help even if it means boot camp,you could call dr phil:)lock up the sharps including scissors,watch the pets,talk with someone please,dont be afraid that if you and your mom does send him away to a treatment center or boot camp that he'll hate you,he'll get over that when he healthy again,and it sure beats dead or prison,does your mom want to bury you? does she want to bury your brother or feel responsible if he goes and kills someone else?it sounds like the begining of a very bad ending,please get help,you need to be health yourself in order to help him.best of luck.
