I've done a lot of thinking lately about life. It seems the world is just one crazy mess. I have half a mind nowadays not to ever get married, have sex, have kids or anything. All the time I hear about all these couples getting divorces, remarried, having kids and either can't afford them or parents split up and the dad has to pay child support and allimony the rest of his life. The cost of everything keeps going up, but not my wages. If I never get married or have kids, I'd never have to worry about that. I'm not all that good looking anyhow, so why would anyone want to spend thier life with me. Maybe this explains why I've never even had my first kiss yet, and I'm 29 years old. There are also a lot of people (especially family members) that count on me to do everything for them. What would they ever do if I got married and moved away? Yes it gets deppressing all the time, but what is one to do?

My friend started going out with a girl a few months back, both are good friends of mine. Recently they just broke up, because the girl's parents didn't like him. The problem is, they never met him before, and barely know him. There are also a lot of misunderstandings, when the girl tried to tell her parents. They both really love each other, but now they are forbidden to see each other. The parents don't even want to see they guy. I really want to help the two, and I feel that I have to, I just don;t know where to start. If anyone could give advice, that would be greatly appreciated.

My friend just recently told me she had been raped by a guy. she is 13 almost 14. I'm the only person she told. I told her that she needs to tell someone, someone older who would know what to do... and maybe tell the police to get this jackass behind bars.
She just keeps telling me to stay out of it, that she can take care of it. But i really think she wont. Either she doesnt care, or shes lying.

I really dont know what to do... help would be nice

When me n my ex was together, he gave me one of his pictures. That is one of the picture that he loved most and the picture was taken when he was young too. Now someone has stolen my wallet when i was in the mall and i cant get back again. The picture is in there. We are now friends but not so closed. We used to hate one another and things just got better. I know it is really bad to loose something someone has given you but what should i do now if he asks for his picture back? He did ask for it once but that was just a joke. Should i tell him now that i lost it or keep it to myself and tell him only when he asks for it?
its killing me. help me please

I am getting married this October and my fiance and I have really made and effort to put our personal stamp on the day. We both looooove sweets so for the reception we are having a candy buffet, cookie table, and instead of traditional wedding cake, our favorite bakery is making their famous burnt almond torte into a wedding cake for us. We are so excited! To top it off on a fall evening, we are serving hot caramel apple cider with the cake.

Now I thought this was great, but both my mother and his mother think that people are not going to like this because the cake is smothered in almonds and not everyone likes apple cider. I feel like this is our special day and if they don't like it, we have plenty of other sweets on the candy buffet and cookie table. Do agree and think the majority of people will not enjoy this? I thought it was fantastic...

Ok. Here's the thing. A long time ago, I decided on this pretty outdoor location for my wedding and to have the reception thereafter. So, at the time, no one thought it was a big deal until the last minute. The wedding is set for Sept. 22nd. My soon to be father in law is preparing the food (he really wanted to anyways and so I figured why not). Now the inlaws are telling me basically we cant have the food where I originally wanted it b/c so-called not enough room which is hog wash, not enough hook-ups (which I did not realize until now and is true) and they don't feel up to bringing the food out there but yet it's all in the same town. Someone mentioned having the reception some place else and announcing it at the wedding. Well, my soon to be father in law was decided on finger foods which was cool but now they are going all out on full course meals. What should I do about this and should I change reception plans?

There are going to be quite a few children at my wedding, and I absolutly adore all of them, so I'd like to be able to involve them as much as possible, and give them an atmosphere that they can enjoy too. Suggestions??? I'm thinking of doing a pinate and limbo at the reception, and really that's fun for eveybody anyway.
Thanks!

My fiance and I are planning on a wedding around mid-December 2008. Without going over-the-top tacky with the theme, what are some things we could do as far as decorating, party favors, etc. goes to play up the Christmas theme? I think our cake is going to be decorated to look like 3 gift boxes stacked up. Anyway, any suggestions are great! We're really lost, and trying really hard to come up with some fun ideas!

Okay - So I have been I love with this guy for about 2 and a half years . . . But I know (thought) that he didn't feel the same way that I did so I accepted it and attempted to move on. Three boyfriends later he is still on my mind, so I say to myself that maybe I should be alone for a while a that might help me get over him. . . . . . He calls today and asks to speak with me. Here is how that conversation went :

Him : Did you dump your loser boyfriend?
Me : Yeah . . .
Him : Why?
Me : He isn't who I want to be with . . .
Him : Who do you want to be with then?
Me : You . . .
Him : Me?
Me : Yeah, You . .
Him : You don't show it
Me : Why should I show it?
Him : Why shouldn't you?
Me : Will it matter? I know you don't feel for me in that sense. .
Him : And how do you know that?
Me : I assumed . . .
Him : What will make you assume that?
Me : Well, you don't show it either . . . So I guess we were both misled

What do you think he feels for me?

I am currently going into my junior year of undergrad studies (I will be done in Dec/2009), and my boyfriend of 3 years and I have been talking about getting engaged and marriage a lot lately...I was thinking a good wedding date would be 4/24/10 (we have been together since 4/24/04)...if we made our plans official and got engaged now, is 3 years too long to have to plan a wedding? Since I am still in school, I want to wait to save up money and have financial stability and a career in my field in place. It makes sense to me to save for 3 years so that I have the money to have the wedding I want...But is 3 years too much time to plan a wedding... I've already started planning things...like a guest list and little things like finding things i like... i don't know... I just need some feedback from others' experience...thanks! btw my question is is 3 years too long of an engagement?
