Asked a friend (female) to fogive me and she said that we both had been hurt and it would be best to give her sometime and that if I respect her I would leave her alone. Cause she did like talking to me too and could see me as a friend and would do anything for her friends. About 10 days went by and then I seen her in the club. I said I missed her. She said "I know and its ok" and then gave me a couple of big hugs. I went out on the floor to dance with another friend and ended up dancing with her as well, but two days later I sent her an email and that I had fun and it was good to see her but she would never respond and I sent 3 more and tried to call her that night as well, and she was mad when she answered the phone and said she was busy and would call me back. She never called back and I have not heard from her since, and I have not tried to contact her. Why did she say it was ok that night I seen her and dance with me? Is she just being nice and not wanting anything to do with me?

Hi... I was just wondering my one of my girlfriends won't stop talking about her dead father, is it denial? She doesn't use past tence like "He was a doctor" or "He loved vacations", she will say "My Dad? He's a doctor." or "My dad loves vacations!" She brings him up in every sentence, and it happened 1 year ago, that he died. Does she need to see somebody? What's wrong exactly?

If i have never had any arrest or conviction record for any type of drug can the mother of my child make me take a drug test?

Seems kind of an invasion of privacy, there are no grounds for it whatsoever.

I do smoke the occasional joint at a party....never, ever when my child is around.

Long story short:

I was with my ex for a year and a half on an off (we are both 25y/o). We broke up because of the strain of the long distance relationship on both are parts he is in the military. We had a bad fallin out about 9 months ago and I cursed him out...pretty bad! I told him never to call me again. But after 3 months I realized that I should have not ended like that. So I called and he said he understood my fustration. Since then I text him once every 3 months to drop a line to see how he is doing. He always responds to the text by calling me...which is cool. But this week he called me out of the blue and we just had a casual conversation for a hour and half.

I still love him but I know it's not possible because he going to Iraq for a year soon, do you think Im waisting my time trying to nurture this friendship/relationship. I have not seen him in a year. But I do like to keep tabs on him being that he has a dangerous job in the military.

Please give me your insight

I thought everything was going great in our life. I didn't realize I wasn't paying him attention. Our daughter is only 6 weeks old and I'm giving him sex so thats not the problem. He said it's not the physical part it's mentally, and that I don't even acknowledge he's there anymore. Anyways he stayed out from 11pm till 8am last friday night and said he was at a party with an old friend named Benjy, who I know but he would lie for my hubby if I ask if they were at a party. He also turned his phone off. Was he with a woman? Saturday morning he apoligized and told me he does not want me and our daughter to leave and he will straighten up. I also told him I will try to pay him more attention. I want my marriage to work, I love my husband and want my daughter to grow up with both her parents. Did he cheat? and should I leave him? He has never ever stayed out all night in the 6 years we've been together until last friday. HELP!!!

My single-never-married friend is dating a guy (long distance) that enjoys drinking with his buddies on the weekends. She allows it since they are not serious but claims that if they got married it would all come to a halt. I said she can’t expect him or any guy to just drop his friends and spend the rest of his days with no one except her. Guys need that “guy time” just as girls have their “girl time” together. I said once you get married and start a family that the “going out” phase kind of cools off but she should let him enjoy going out & drinking with his buddies at least 1-2 times a month or so. She thinks that is WAY too much. She said once a YEAR for a guy to hang out with his friends is plenty. And she basically said that she plans to alienate her friends when she marries and this guy should alienate his friends too and then they just have each other and can work on making their marriage work. Married couples- Is her way logical? Does it work that way? What works for you?

my fiance's parents are hosting the rehearsal dinner.. now let me start off by saying this is the ONLY thing they have done for this wedding, other than give me a headache, and more stress than i can handle (his mother is horrible, petty, mean, and terrible to him for his whole life, not even being petty.. his childhood was a horror story-my entire family, myself, my fiance, and our friends cant stand her..)

now..they want to put a limit on the amount of drinks at the restaurant they are choosing.. (i dont even drink.. but a lot of the guests like a few beers with dinner) They want to pre-pay for 2 drinks for everyone.. and thats all anyone can have.. 2 drinks.. which my fiance and i think is tacky and cheap.. and how do u explain something like that to the guests?!

what the owner did say was that people can order drinks..then his parents just pay for the bill when its over..but they dont want to do that..

just to add they are rich.. seriously.. so its not like they cant pay for it

I read a post yesterday about a guy who explained that he is staying married solely for the sake of his children. This was so disheartening to me. Are there people out there who are happily married after 5, 10+ years of marriage or is everyone out there miserable? I am getting married in a month and would like encouraging and hopeful stories as this mans post really got me down.

...is not still in the stage where they sigh and go all googley-eyed and shivery and giggly and twittery over the sight of him?

I am as comitted to my husband as the ocean to the shore, but after 14 years the love is more solid and less like the first blush of passion of high-schoolers. (we met in our late 30's.)

Am I normal, headed for a nasty divorce, or need shock treatments in a mental hosiptal?
