Absolutely yes! This is what I was trying to tell my 9 year old daughter today. I think if you find one or two truely genuine friends throughout your whole life you are a lucky person. Many people never do. xx

It all depends on what you class as a true friend

I have a lot of friends but a few are true friends

How you can tell , they are the people that stand by you , when matters do not go your way

God, yes. And God bless the internet, as I have just managed to track down 4 of my truest friends that I lost contact with when I moved countries. If you find a really good friend, don't let them go!

yeah sometimes but if you're a true friend yourself after some hassles you'll find true friends i have loads of them but i have ones that betrayed me also, good luck and remember everyone makes mistakes btw i'm just 13 :P and for a stronger relationship avoid lies they never do anything good i always say the truth even though its negative.

Yes true friends are hard to find. Ages ago I THOUGHT I had a true friend but she sitched on me, told my secrets and became really really mouthy! You will be lucky if you can find one who is sweet and trustworthing.
Hope you find a true friend (if not have 1 =} )

yes I agree. sometimes we make a lot of friends and at 1st we think they are the best and blah blah... but then we realize they r not that good, they werent what we thought they were, but it's not impossible, u'll find true friends where u less expect it, for ex, I've found good ppl on here without expecting it, hehe

yes they are,i was best friends with a girl for about 13 years and we shared everything she was like my sister and i would have done anything for her (as a mate) i was at the birth of her son i bailed her out of so many shi**y things and was always there for her no matter what and then she turned around and stabbed me in the back over MY bf,she split us up cos she wanted him for herself and then cos we fell out over it she stopped my brother seeing his son,i tried to keep the peace for the little boys sake but when she finally found out my bf wasnt interested in her she stopped all contact with my brother and the wee man,so what im saying is that even ppl you think who are true frieds are NOT,i think the old saying your best friend is your worst enemy is so true.

Absolutely. We have many acquaintances. We are only given three true friends in a life time.

Yes. People are afraid of honesty. It's difficult to have open communication and be honest with people. Most people can't handle the truth or don't want to face the real facts.

Not as hard as to keep one

I'm losing many of my close friends. We hardly talk these days, yet considering how we'd talk almost everyday when we we close friends, its amazing how friendship can turn around so fast
